Family Centered OT

Melanie has worked with my family on and off for the past 7 years. Not only has she been a wealth of knowledge for my husband and me, but a great support for my son with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, OCD/Anxiety, and Dyspraxia. Melanie is well-versed in diverse ways to support our child with things we already have in our home! It is so amazing to use the tools we have around us vs. adding additional financial stresses by having to purchase therapeutic items. Melanie has also helped us, as parents, by providing us with resources, explaining why our son has behavior issues, and assisting us to learn his cues before a meltdown begins. Melanie is an expert pediatric occupational therapist and comes highly recommended by a mom that used to struggle and now understands. Thank you, Melanie, for all your help and support!

As a therapist and mother I can't say enough good things about Melanie. She was so helpful to my family and is just a really kind human! I really appreciated how she was able to come into our home and offer hands on suggestions we could begin using right away. She could see where the meltdowns and dysregulation happen and make sense of it when we could not. She was also very responsive and easy to communicate with between sessions when needed.

Melanie went above and beyond to help me. She has a wide breadth of knowledge, resources, and experience in helping kids with autism and was able to use that to help me understand what steps to take in my unique and challenging situation. What is really wonderful about her service is that she comes into your home to give you strategies fit exactly for your situation and child’s individual needs. And she can also go into the school, too! I haven’t found any other service who offers so much quality in care, and also directly works within the real environments where the child needs support.
