My two boys thrived under Jen's instruction, which helped not only with physical struggles but complemented sensory and emotional regulation work we were doing in other venues. I am so grateful for Jen's hard work and Ariel's quick communication and flexibility to slate my boys in and work around our family's other commitments. I can't recommend Fairfax Pediatric Therapy enough!

My son has been working with Jen on speech therapy for almost half a year and I couldn't be happier with his progress. She started with a thorough assessment and wrote a detailed report, which we used to negotiate with the public school system to get therapy for him at school as well. She is very experienced, keeping my son regulated using various techniques so my son can focus on practicing his sounds. I highly recommend Fairfax Pediatric Therapy.

Yulene was our child's OT for a few months. Overall our experience was good. Communication was easy with Ariel and Yulene, and appointments were easy to get. Insurance paperwork was clear and easy to use. Would recommend this practice for OT services.

We had the pleasure of working with Ariel and Yulene for our son's pediatric OT sessions over the past couple of weeks. We've learned a lot through Yulene, and she provided us with techniques that we could use at home and daycare to help our toddler regular his emotions and just help him in many ways in general. Communication was quick and prompt and they were flexible with rescheduling. The office is in a great location as well and Yulene had so many fun toys for my son to play with, so much so that he didn't want the sessions to end. She helped advance his pretend play skills and decrease some sensitivities. He warmed up to her pretty quickly! Overall, can't express my gratitude and satisfaction with the team enough!

Fairfax Pediatric Therapy provided outstanding Occupational Therapy for our child, who was experiencing significant challenges with handwriting. Ariel Shen went above and beyond, employing a strategy to address motor skills for the hands and she included therapy for several other interrelated factors that influenced our child's ability to improve their handwriting. Fairfax Pediatric Therapy is a comfortable space for kids and Ariel has many unique games and devices that make therapy fun. Our child experienced remarkable improvements in their hand strength, visual acuity, and executive functioning for writing. The results far exceeded our expectations and improvements in school and homework would not have otherwise been possible without Ariel's expert care.

My son was recently diagnosed with dysgraphia, ADHD, and some vision impairments and we were recommended to seek Occupational Therpay. My initial decision to seek services with Fairfax Pediatric Therapy was due to the appointment availability. Every other place we tried had a least a 6 month waiting list. I am so glad that we found Ms. Ariel Shen. Not only has she helped my son improve his handwriting, hand eye coordination, and concentration, but my son honestly adores her. He has so much fun with her at his weekly visits. He gets upset if we have to skip a week due to other commitments or if he is sick. I like that she does not focus solely on practicing handwriting or other "boring" exercises/activities. She breaks up each visit into different activities that are fun and engaging and age appropriate. My son is learning and improving skills without even realizing it. His teachers at school have also noticed a huge improvement in his behavior and concentration as well. I can not express how grateful I am to Ms. Ariel for her dedication and assistance in helping my child. If you are looking for OT for your child take them to Fairfax Pediatric Therapy!!!

I had a terrible experience with the last facility I had my son evaluated at. So much so that I was searching desperately for a new place. I stumbled across Ariel and decided to give her a call. I told her about my bad experience,I could tell she cared and she actually listened to me. She had a speech therapist come to my home named Jen (who is heaven sent!!!) who evaluated my son. She was so warm and friendly that it put my souls at ease. I had such high anxiety and they cared enough to make my experience good! My son works with Jen once a week and I love her!! He has already made progress and we have only been working together maybe 2.5 months. They care and they actually are good and know what they are doing!!!!
