I had a great experience giving birth at this hospital. I only have one complaint after spending four days in this hospital. All my care givers were awesome except one. The night nurse that I had the night I gave birth by c-section was awful to me and my husband. She told me I was hurting my baby by taking a certain pain medication that was prescribed to me by my doctor and made me feel guilty for taking them because I am breastfeeding. So I decided to go through pain and not take them while she was on shift until the pain was too much to take. She was way out of line. She also administered a pain medication so fast through my IV that it made my IV basically explode and it leaked out of my arm. Obviously hurting me and didn't stop when I said please slow down it's hurting me. Then my IV had to be removed. She was so condescending and judgmental on how I was breastfeeding my baby. I'm not one to complain about much but since I've been discharged and at home almost a week since this incident I'm having difficulty not thinking about it. I will say Dr. Minder and her entire team did a great job on making sure my baby was delivered quickly and healthy when my babies heart rate dropped during a almost 2 day induction process. I thank them for everything they did. I'd give a 5 star rating but that horrible nurse subtracts 1 star at the very least. I should have reported that nurse.

I live in California now, but this is my hometown hospital. Always took good care of me for many years and I would say they take better care of their patients than other cities. My mom who is in her 60s now is there for surgery and she's being taken care of pretty good and the staff are all pretty sweet and keep me well informed on her condition. My mom complains a little about not getting the food she wants the same day or that they take a while to come to her calls. All minor things. My mom says the cleaning crew is very good as well, because her condition makes it where she fills up three trashes at once and she says there really good at keeping it cleaning. She gets blood on the ground and there extremely nice same thing with needing help walking around or more personal things. I've been to Kenai, Anchorage, and San Diego, California hospitals and I would still say this is the best one, but hey I was born in this hospital!...<3~A

They are good because they provide a comprehensive examination, but they lack the communication skills to explain the results. I asked for a copy of the test results, but they only directed me to a website. When I logged in, I encountered an error, and all of this happened within four hours. When I asked another staff member for help, they said they were busy, had to leave, and that it wasn’t their responsibility—then just walked away. Unbelievable!

They never billed my insurance that I provided at check in. I wrote a letter later providing my information again. I returned phone calls from staff, providing my insurance information. Now they’ve sent me to collections without ever billing the insurance I gave them 3 times.

Terrible care. They refused to give me pain meds that work. I had a seizure and dislocated my shoulders. In extreme pain. The dr. Actually said i did not have symptoms to justify the prescription.

Nurses must be fresh out of high school. Took 1 hour for my mother in the emergency room to be administered a pain medication after calling a nurse and describing the pain to them. They said it will be a few minutes and it took over an hour. I spoke with a nurse who took 0 accountability and flat out lied. She said "nurses were sent in immediately after". I'd feel about 10x better to be told that they were very busy and tried their best but instead I'm told a flat out lie by a condescending egotistical grossly overpaid secretary.

"Because we're grossly incompetent and can't find your pain, we will do nothing about it. That's why you came to us with an exploding gallbladder the last time we rejected you outright, but there's no emergency we can identify right now." These people are sick and have deluded themselves into believing that human beings deserve to suffer rather than do the bare minimum to support them. They have treated us like liars and scumbags for multiple years and continue to refer to the patient's pain as chronic while refusing to do the bare minimum of looking into it. I genuinely wish the worst on the doctors who have seen us. They deserve to suffer the same levels of pain they've forced others to endure needlessly.

My mom had a strong low back pain yesterday night and went to the ER. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. She is feeling much better now. Really appreciated!
