Exceptional Children's Center

My 3 year old has seen a few different speech therapists here and they have all been incredible. He has been coming for a few months now and shown dramatic improvement over that time with his speech delay. They are accommodating as much as they can possibly be as far as scheduling. I am very impressed with every aspect of this program and the staff. Worth the waitlist!

We just finished up speech therapy after 2.5 years. We did a hybrid of virtual and in-person appointments and we had a great experience all around! Miss McKenzie is a wonderful resource and my son is super disappointed to be done with his sessions. The staff are all helpful and friendly, would highly recommend this place for anyone needing these services.

My two year old is having some speech delay and it was hard to find anything in my area due to waiting list. When I called Exceptional Children’s Center the professionalism or customer service and patience that the front desk had in answering all my questions. They were able to get my little one in immediately and so far we have had our evaluation and a few appointments and every interaction from the staff has been nothing short of amazing. My little one is quiet clingy and I was very worried about him venturing off to his sessions alone so that was a goal of mine but by his second appointment he was very comfortable with his speech therapist Meghan and went alone. I am seeing a little growth with sign language and I just couldn’t be more pleased with this center.

I've known and supported this Organization for years now and there is no mission more genuine than that of Exceptional Children's Center. To take such a personal, hands-on approach with local kids and their families, couldn't recommend them highly enough.

We have done Occupational Therapy here for about a year and a half, and we have been very pleased, especially when compared to our old therapy place. We haven't had any of the issues we ran into with insurance filings. I highly recommend them if they accept your insurance.

Love this place! My son has been going here for about a year and a half. I’ve always been happy with the staff - which is very knowledgeable and also very kind with my son. My 3-year old worked with Summer (speech) and Tanvi (O/T) and they have been excellent over the past year. This is a place I recommend to any friends who are looking for a great speech/OT.

My son has been receiving services since December 2015. We are very pleased with them. My son enjoys attending and is making lots of progress in his speech development. The only thing that I would say needs improvement is the ladies at the receptionist desk. They rarely smile which make them seem a little unfriendly. Just a little though.

Maybe this center offers good service....unfortunately most families will never have access to them. They work with Tricare, blue cross blue shield, and Care First. If you dont have one of those, you need to be ready to shell out hundreds of dollars out of pocket and then do all the insurance paperwork yourself. The vast majority of families, especially those already facing higher medical costs associated with having special needs kids, absolutely cannot afford these services. You'll be fine if you're wealthy or active duty. Otherwise you're on your own. Not sure how the owners could possibly feel good about this.
