Excel Physical Therapy

I started physical therapy with James at Excel about a week after shoulder surgery back on December 1st. I have been going 3 times per week since and have a protocol that will encompass 18 weeks total (I hope). I am currently 8 weeks in and could not be happier. The staff at Excel are all super friendly and seem like a close team. Everyone seems to help each other out and genuinely care for every patient, regardless if it is a patient they are “assigned”. James has been great to work with and when I am there he makes me feel like he cares as much as I do about my recovery. Going into 18 weeks of PT can feel like a monumental task, but from my first visit. I realized that with James, I wouldn’t ever feel alone in my journey. He is careful with my recovery and never put me in a position where he asked me to do something I wasn’t ready for. I cannot recommend him enough. We are on track with my recovery and progressing better than I could have hoped. Each week, I am seeing noticeable improvements. I also want to mention that the support staff are all excellent as well. I usually get support from either Mike or Emily and they are both really great folks. They are super important to how this place functions. I also really enjoy going. I have gotten to know a few of the other patients that come at the same time I do. We chat and monitor each others progress from a far, which also help give the place a very family-oriented feel to it. If you are looking for a place to get PT, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Excel. They truly have some wonderful folks there and you will get great support and help with your issues.

I have been going to physical therapy 2 to 3 times a week since September, when I got surgery for my ACL. My recovery has been great! Dardan and Trudy have treated me with much care and support, along with the PT aides, Tenny, Emily, and Mike. The staff is very caring, and I highly recommend!

My experience with Trudy Roth at Excel Physical Therapy in Montvale NJ has been excellent. My knee, since surgery in October of 2023, has improved substantially, and I attribute the progress largely to Trudy’s expertise, knowledge and patience in helping me in my recovery. I am grateful for her diligence and will highly recommend her therapy to family and friends.

Had the pleasure of going to Excel for my issue with my ankle. Dardan was excellent. Professional, courteous, and engaging. Sam was also very helpful. The entire staff was very attentive. Would definitely recommend Excel in Montvale and if I have to do PT a I would go there again. Thank you again

I would highly recommend Excel. I am now going there for a fractured shoulder- They are polite,courteous, and above all extremely clean! Kudos to my therapist James who I look forward to seeing every time I go and all of the staff who assist. They have made this painful journey tolerable.

Allison and her team at the Montvale clinic did an incredible job of keeping me motivated for what seemed like a list of endless injuries. Every time I would arrive at my appointment, I was always greeted with a smiling, friendly face at a very clean and professional facility. I am beyond grateful for this team because I am now 6 months out of PT after 3 years on and off and can honestly say this is due to the care I received here. If I ever need treatment again, I know exactly where I am going. Thank you everyone!

The folks at Excel couldn’t be better at what they do. Specifically, Dr. Allison Tabrys, the Montvale Clinic Director, is just stupendous. She has endless knowledge of the field and constantly has creative solutions to treat nagging problems. She was able to significantly decrease my lower back muscular tightness and nerve pain using traditional and Mackenzie techniques. When my shoulder started acting up, too, she was quick with diagnosis and treatment. I had not been able to exercise for months before seeing her, and now I’m on the way to recovery. I wish she could train/treat me year-round! The rest of the staff at the clinic is also top notch - friendly and helpful. If you need PT, don’t look any further.

I my first physical therapy experience was for my right shoulder with Bryan Del Rio in the Montvale office. I completed my sessions totally satisfied with a stronger shoulder. A few years later my right shoulder again became a problem again & I sought out Bryan, now on the Mahwah office. My second experience at PT for my shoulder was again positive but little did I know that a short time later I was headed for rotator cuff surgery. After shoulder surgery I went directly to Bryan. It is now 6 months after my surgery & I feel without Bryan’s expertise I would not be feeling as well as I do today. His attention to detail, hands on shoulder manipulation, innovative exercises & listening skills make him the PT you want in your corner. Actually the entire Mahwah staff are exceptional individuals. Always welcoming & ready to help guide you through the exercises. I’m closing in on my time with Bryan & just want to say thank you so much, you ‘da man’. Frank C. 💪
