I had a procedure with Dr. OLSEN on 11.27.24. He took the time to explain to me what he was going to do, as I was laying on the table abd he was prepping. He was very polite and respectful, I really appreciated that. It was relatively painless, and he made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I highly recommend him.

Saw Dr. Erik Olson, DO for pain in my hip three weeks ago. He gave me an injection for bursitis which relieved the pain. I can finally get my gardening finished! Each time I see Dr. Olson, he is very professional as though he’s meeting me for the first time. His staff is great too!

The office staff are friendly and accommodating. On the surface, it seemed like it would be a positive experience. However, as my visit proceeded, it became clear that the office is less than admirable, and seems more intent on money and pushing patients out the door as quickly as possible. To start with, they made me pay for the procedure beforehand. While this might be normal under some circumstances, it is not normal across the health care industry. I was more bothered after the procedure though. Due to challenges with my situation, the staff were not able to complete the full procedure. They completed 1/3 of the full procedure that I had just paid for. But they did not reimburse me for the 2/3 of the procedure that was not completed. I was in the office for 15 minutes and received 1 of 3 steroid shots, but they still charged my insurance $5,000 and charged me almost $1,000 out of pocket. For an incomplete procedure that didn’t work. After my procedure, as I stumbled out of the office bent over in pain, the office staff did not provide me with any documentation about the procedure that had just been completed, nor did they send me home with any discharge instructions or next steps or things to know and understand until my follow-up appointment. I literally walked out of the office with zero information. There was also no online portal for me to access the information digitally, and no printed physical documents to take home. During my procedure, I was in too much pain to get into the correct position to administer the steroid shots. I could not, under any circumstances, hold my head, neck, shoulders and arms in the position the office staff needed. But they did not try other positions or approaches, nor did they try to sedate me or administer any pain relief. I had been waiting for this visit for weeks. Instead of trying alternate methods, they administered 1 of 3 shots, in the wrong spot in my neck, then sent me home to wait for another 3-4 weeks for additional treatment. I felt the doctor and his staff were dismissive of my situation, my pain, my loss of mobility, and simply wanted to get me in and out of the office as quickly as possible. If you have any time or opportunity, I strongly recommend seeking out a different orthopedic doctor for your needs.

Dr Olson does a fantastic job. My epidural was done quickly, efficiently and with very little discomfort. I can literally feel the medication going precisely to the intended target. Thumbs up to Dr Olson and his great staff!
