Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Waco

My aunt had such an excellent stay at this hospital.I have to admit, we were nervous since my aunt came from a bad rehab facility but our minds were put at ease during her admission. She came in late at night and the head nurse, young guy, I think his name was Andrew, and he was very transparent and knowledgeable with us about what to expect, much more than the info we got before coming in.It looks like he was teaching a nurse about how to admit my aunt and he made sure the nurse was thorough and he included us in that teaching process. Her medications were running late and he made sure she got her medicines fixed by the doctor. He made sure she was comfortable for the night and I felt safe leaving her overnight. You don’t see many male nurses and the ones you do don’t have the gentle and educated demeanor that Andrew has. Hopefully my aunt does not have any more surgeries but if she does, I hope Andrew is

Excellent. Bravo. I've been hospitalized many times and by far Encompass is the best one I've ever been to. Doctors, therapist , staff, nurses, other patients, cook, custodian everyone was so kind and professional. Such a cheerful and happy environment. I have already spoken highly to friends about how well I was treated to inform them about your facility, location and phone number. No one has heard of y'all. Perhaps more advertising is needed. Outstanding experience. Spent 3 weeks recovering from stroke. Everyone therapists, admin staff, nurses and techs were so helpful and kind. I felt as their experience and expertise were exactly what I needed at that time. Good people. Even will miss some of them! 😉

Encompass wasn’t perfect, but it was a Godsend for my family member, and I mean that literally. She transferred from a terrible rehab, so we have another experience for comparison. Encompass is bright, clean, and professional, with wonderful therapists and better-than-average food. My mom is doing great now, and I give them credit for helping her get to this point.

When you enter the halls of Encompass Hospital you will find an atmosphere of excitement and love. They are there to serve you and make you better than when you came. The therapists there are the best in their field and they are all full of laughter and joy. When I left to go home I was better off than when I came and was sad to leave my new friends that I had made there. They all will be missed and remembered by me.

I just left Encompass Rehab Hospital today after staying and getting intensive Therapy for about a month, for several hours a day but I asked for as much therapy as I could bc I NEEDED IT & WANTED TO GO HOME!! I DID Make it home!! While at Encompass I got Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy and sometimes Group Therapy as well. Encompass ALL the THERAPY staff are AMAZING, & They ALL work hard to help us patients meet our goals that we choose for ourselves and All the social workers and higher up people are SO HELPFUL to help listen and address any problems and actually get things done same day and same hour at times too!! I also enjoyed and felt welcome at the stroke survivors support group I WOULD RECOMMEND this Rehab Therapy Hospital to anyone needing therapy assistance

I received excellent care at Encompass. During some very intensely painful episodes due to my surgery, the techs and nurses not only addressed my pain medically, but they held my hand and showed amazing empathy. Their reassurance and care is so appreciated. The PT and OT folks did a great job helping me "get back on my feet".

I have never been to a rehab center of any kind so this was a new experience. I was so impressed with the amount of equipment. The scheduling OT and PT certainly prepared me for life at home. I will definitely recommend.
