Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tallahassee

All of the nurses, care assistants, therapists, and personnel were professional and kind. I feel the entire building, including private rooms, was very clean. I made good progress towards getting back on my feet. My only lower hooray is about the food. Overall it was sufficient, but taste and careful serving are not one of their priorities. If I ever (hopefully not) need to go to a rehab facility, I would definitely insist on Encompass.

All the people at Encompass took wonderful care of my mother for the week she was there. When she got there from the hospital she couldn’t walk after an injury and they had her walking without assistance by Friday. I’d like to especially recognize Alissa (PT), Jenny and Erin (OT), Patrick from Dietary Services, Maureen (case worker), and RN Gaddiel for their kindness, humor, and going above and beyond for my mom. There were so many others whose names I didn’t learn who were so sweet to her. The facility was clean, my mom said the food was tasty, and the CARE is top notch. Thank you all so much for getting my mom back to our family!

I had an amazing and very beneficial experience at Encompass. I can not say enough good things about my care, the awesome physical and occupational therapists, nurses and even the housekeepers were respectful and compassionate. I went in post surgery after repair of 5 out of 7 fractures in my spine. I couldn't walk and could only care for myself from my bed. This team got me on my feet, walking and doing exercises to gain strength, balance and confidence for my return to home. They became like family. All done in 17 days. I am home and though still using a walker and wheelchair when needed, my improved mobility is a gift they gave me. Highly recommend this rehab center!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was Amazing. I had the best team working with me. From the greetings at front door to PT Alyssa, Ot Jennifer and Curtis was fun to around.. My nurses Daisy, and i think his name was David. Every one treated me with love and respect the nutritional staff helped me eat when I could not. Encompass has a great staff. My case manager kept me and my family up to date on everything. thank you for having such an amazing team. I loved them for talking good care me. Thank you. I know I left out some names,they all great. Oh and my techs help me when I needed help. Thank you

My experience with Encompass was exceptional. Both Cynthia and Lisa were excellent therapists taking the necessary time to fully explain the activity and its benefits. They were also “tough” but caring. The residential staff also went above and beyond my expectations making sure that I was comfortable and received my medications as prescribed.

I highly recommend Encompass for rehab needs! I recently spent 12 days there after a 2-week hospitalization period to regain my strength, etc., and they are what I would call a true REHAB place - when I left I was not the same as when I got there! The following therapists, etc., went above and beyond my expectations; Charlene/Key’Ara - dream team nurse and tech - they both quickly learned my special needs and I never had to explain again! When I saw they were my nursing team for the night, I immediately would relax. Isaac - respiratory tech who always had a smile and taught me so much about breathing properly. Robin - same but went above and beyond to determine I don’t need oxygen anymore after 2 years of being dependent on it! She was my biggest cheerleader! Lisa and Cynthia - physical and occupational therapists who worked with me and met every special need I have, finding workarounds for my limitations. Stetson - nurse supervisor who took care of my room issues - moving me to a different room when necessary. Patrick - dietary worker who spent time just talking and getting my food orders just right! By the way, the food was amazing! Brittany - night tech who just listened when I needed to vent a little! Dan - physical therapist who caught that I had true vertigo upon turning my head and did testing which showed I had crystals in my ear canal and went above and beyond by doing the Epley maneuver to correct this annoying dizziness problem! Again, I highly recommend Encompass and would go there again if I ever needed that type of inpatient care.

Encompass is a remarkable facility! I would strongly recommend it for anyone needing inpatient rehab therapy! Everyone working there made me feel as if I was their only patient. They have a very large gym filled with lots of machines & other equipment to meet the needs of any kind of injury. Their therapists are the best!!! They were very competent & knew exactly how to motivate me. They were some of the most compassionate & supportive people I’ve ever met! The nurses & other workers were exceptional! No matter how many times I pushed the call button, they came quickly with a smile on their face & true compassion in their hearts. They were sooo kind & encouraging … even during the night! The nurses made sure I knew what medicine I was taking EVERY TIME they brought it. I was provided a daily menu from which to select my meals. The food was very tasty … especially the fresh fruit!!! Most rooms were private & relatively large. The interior of the facility was amazing! Everywhere within the building was clean & bright with gorgeous paintings of the local area up & down all the wide hallways. Any rehab is difficult work … & often uncomfortable. But Encompass tries its best to make it more tolerable. Again I would highly recommend Encompass!!!

Had a wonderful experience with my mother at Encompass. From the moment I took a tour to the day she graduated, I felt this was a safe place and trusted the staff with my mother when I wasn't around. The staff is awesome and took time to get to know our family. Enjoyed everyone and the place is so clean. The physical therapy she received was top notch. Fantastic rehab for anyone needing PT/OT to get back on their feet.
