Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Parkersburg

Encompass is a wonderful facility. Everyone there is very friendly and welcoming. I especially enjoyed group therapy which enabled everyone to socialize. Thank you everyone, for your patience and kindness. I recommend Encompass to anyone that needs to regain their strength. I personally had a great physical therapist who helped me quite a bit. Would recommend 5/5 stars!!! =]

My husband was in Encompass for 2 weeks after his pelvic bone surgery which was done the day before he was moved there. The nurses were very good. The PT, Brian and OT, Courtney were excellent. They helped him prepared to go home. He was walking with a walker, could take a shower and bathroom himself. I was informed of his discharge 6 days, including a weekend, before he was coming home. I was not able to get a ramp installed in time. It was installed 5 days after his discharge. I didn't feel I was kept in the loop, especially since he had a brain injury. Also, his food was always cold by the time he received it. He was at the end of the building.

1 star is too much. I wouldn't take anyone here. With the exception of PT and Case Management, the experience my Mother and I had was absolutely horrible. I can't even put everything into words. Here's the list ...... - they took my Mother from Parkersburg to Morgantown to an appointment that was canceled, without contacting me in advance. - horrible at attending to call lights, to the point of being ridiculous. - she had to call me at home to get water because no one would answer her call light . - no one answers the phone in the evening if you want to talk to the nurse. - had to come from home just to get someone s attention to help move her from a chair to bed, she asked several people, and no one ever came back. - someone left a syringe (with a needle) on her over the bed tray. These are only a few things. Never ever going there again. This is a pathetic excuse for a health care facility!

My father had a great stay at Encompass. He's had 2 stays there in the last 3 months, but he's gotten stronger each time he has stayed there. Very dedicated staff.

Thanks to Encompass Health for getting me back on my feet and the fantastic care I received while I was there. The staff is fantastic and very welcoming. Very friendly and compassionate place. Highly recommend this facility

To begin with he was loaded in the car wet clear through. We were sent home with a documented blood pressure of 89/45 body temperature wouldn’t even read before I got him out of the car. We had to call the squad to take him to the hospital. When we got him to the hospital, it was discovered he still had a pick line in his left arm and the shirt that he had on he had on for three days. Nobody bothered to even take it off or look. he is currently in ICU at Camden Clark, hanging onto life by a thread. he was supposed to have wound care services that he never received bandages were left. On way past the daily change time. I actually ask a nurse how often are the bandages changed and she said oh they’re changed daily well this was on the sixth and he had a bandage on his arm that was marked the third so yes, I am not impressed at all with the care that he got

My step dad was here and had multiple issues from liver cancer to Parkinson’s. They kept him clean and up working hard! Which was exactly what he needed since he was so weak. Thank you all!! I’d bring all my family here and trust them with all I have!!!!!
