Overall, the care here was great. A special "Shout Out" to the Dining Room Staff and all the therapists. All staff encountered in these areas went the extra mile and were always helpful. A special thanks to Joann in the Compliance Department. She immediately recognized the importance and validity of a concern raised, promptly seeing it discontinued.

This place was magical for me during a very vulnerable time in my life. I had emergency spinal surgery and needed to relearn how to walk again. The staff here are nothing short of amazing!! The garden is beautiful and was a nice change of pace from sitting inside too! I have to call out my MVP’s who worked directly with me to get me ready to go home! Bridgette, Morgan, Dominic, Luis, Hollie, you all are amazing!! You helped to put my body back together! Dr. Bulen is so much more than a doctor!! Dr. Bulen listened to me while I cried and cheered me on for all my accomplishments! If you are looking for a place to help build yourself back up do not hesitate to go to Encompass! Oh, I also am vegan and Monica and the kitchen staff worked so hard to accommodate my unique dietary needs! Appreciate you all!!

Encompass provided an encouraging and totally competent experience for my husband following a hip fracture. Every therapist, nurse, and physician was well informed of his needs and were available to help, address questions, and always arrived on time for scheduled treatments. They clearly have a mission to keep the patient and family well informed and educated on what is happening daily and even after discharge. It was also helpful that visitors could purchase meals (very inexpensive) to enjoy with the patient at meal time.

I was discharged from here on Friday the 30th of June. I had the best care here and my team of therapists were top notch. They were compassionate and professional all the way from Physical, Speech, and occupational therapy. My Doctor's, Nurses and case manager were also very professional and kept me well informed. The meals were also very well prepared and were good. My shoutout to the dietary team is that they packaged up my final dinner meal to take home with me to enjoy it at home. If you are looking for a Rehab facility to go to I would highly recommend Encompass health Rehab. That you Encompass for a wonderful experience.

On Wednesday, 4/17/24, my mother was misled by Banner Health into transferring to Encompass following her knee replacement surgery. She was pre-planned and scheduled to be transferred for inpatient rehab at La Rosa, which is part of the Brookdale Santa Catalina CCRC. She made advance arrangements to be transferred to Brookdale because my father, who recently suffered a stroke and has dementia, lives there and she would have difficulty visiting him otherwise during her rehab and recovery. Dr. Adam Weidenhammer, who is NOT a physician known to or chosen by my mother, along with Tricia Carson her Encompass “case manager,” and Jennifer Stone, Encompass Director of Case Management, are refusing to transfer my mother or even contact Brookdale on her behalf. My mother’s only option they tell her (and me), is that she either stay there or get discharged “against doctor’s orders” and go home. She is unable to drive and she has no one at home to help her, so she has effectively been held hostage by Encompass. I am currently across the country on a business trip and unable to come get my Mom and move her to Brookdale myself; however, I will be traveling there tomorrow to remove my Mom from the Encompass facility and take her to Brookdale as planned. As soon as that is resolved, I will speak to an attorney about the violation of my Mom’s rights and the absolute lack of care or concern for both my mother and my father. In addition, Dr. Weidenhammer chose to disparage Brookdale Santa Catalina CCRC and La Rosa in the process.
