Encompass helped me get back on my feet literally! I had a stroke and this is the place I wanted rehab because of the wonderful work they did with my friend and a close family member in the last few years. When I left Encompass I was able to speak better, eat on my own, use the bathroom alone, and able to walk and go up and down stairs alone but with someone close by incase I needed assistance. If you apply yourself at Encompass, have a positive attitude towards your rehab and take your medication if you are needing it, you can expect to be in a much better situation than you arrived in. Encompass has very skilled people employed there and you will be the beneficiary of all the know how they have. It is remarkable how much improvement I had in the short time I was there. I also want to say from the moment I was wheeled into Encompass the staff there was friendly. From the front desk, the Nurses, the cleaning staff and the cafe staff and doctors I was pleased. So was my Wife, my grown children and friends who came to visit me. I would recommend this Facility to anyone needing rehab. I have been back many times to visit the wonderful caring people who set me up for success! They will always be remembered as the folks who set me up for life after my stroke.

Encompass is a beautiful facility with friendly and compassionate staff who are dedicated to improving patient’s mobility. The PT’s and OT’s were knowledgeable about what exercises I needed to do in order to achieve my goals and return home strong. They challenged me with tasks, but with positive encouragement and support. The nurses and technicians were polite, helpful, and welcoming. Every member of staff I encountered was pleasant considerate. I was treated with respect and dignity during a time when I was struggling with pain and mobility. I am truly appreciative for Encompass’a care for me while I was recovering from back surgery.

This was my 3rd stay at encompass. I can’t say enough about your staffing everyone was so kind. When you ring the bell for the nurse, anyone would answer. I had Drs nurses PT and OT as well as my nurses and pt care techs. The facility is absolutely beautiful and clean! Keep up the good work!

I suffered a fracture to my pelvis, sacral into the S1 and S2. Sitting was so very painful. I was expected to not only sit on a hard surface but also with a walker as assistance to walk on my 4th day of injury. I was told by a therapist that I would just have to suck it up and deal with it. My brother was admitted the same day. I asked to be placed into a longer term rehab and was told under no circumstances would that happen. My daughter was told that my brother with end stage emphysema among other health issues would be able to cook and care for us both while my daughter worked 8+ hours a day. That certainly was not the case. Nothing I needed other than a hospital bed had been delivered in my preparation of coming home The 2nd day I was home my daughter bought a walker out of pocket also ended up needing to by a cushion for the bed side commode also the air mattress that was requested by the home health nurse. A gel mattress had been order through Encompass which the nurse clearly stated would not be suitable with my injuries. We declined the gel mattresses and was questioned as to why we had declined it. After clearly be told 3+weeks later the gel mattress was again offered.

From the moment I entered the building to the time I was discharged every person greeted me with compassion, caring, professionalism and goal setting. I thank Encompass daily for all I achieved and continue to achieve. PT and OT are with you every step of the way.

I am specifically writing this review for the physical therapy care team member who took care of my grandfather. I don't know her name. All I know is that when I asked about his potential alcohol consumption, the whole team in the room laughed and then one in specific divulged over laughter to us that she snuck alcohol in for her father while he was in rehab. In my honest opinion this woman should have her credentials revoked for her disgusting attitude towards alcoholism in her field, unless she wants more people to get drunk, become injured, and let her make money working at Encompass. A flippant attitude towards mental health should not be present in a work facility like this. I am glad Encompass allowed for my grandfather to receive at home care after he did not meet his goal while inpatient with them, but be aware this also means your loved ones also do not need to meet their recovery care goal to be discharged and potentially be on their own at home.

Absolutely the best rehabilitation center I've ever been to . The nurses, aides, techs, PTS, OTS, SPT, and all all the behind the scenes workers rock. They made me feel like a rock star. From when they met me at Christiana hospital to introduce themselves all the way through my entire stay. Their programs were awesome. Loved how they played games with all the patient involvements which helped with us socially as well. Their gym wm is innovative and I learned new ways to navigate around my handicap home . I can go on and on about Encompass until I'm blue in the face.
