Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Gadsden

Staff was very nice and very attentive to my needs and wants. The only problem I had was one evening my tea that came with my meal got accidentally spilled. I asked for more at the desk and they said they called the kitchen about getting another cup. It never came so one of the employees told me the number to the kitchen and I called and asked. She said she would be right there. It never came. Finally I told one of the nice ladies who helped with the trays that no one ever brought the tea. She went herself and brought back 2 cups of tea, one sweet, one unsweet because she forgot to ask which I preferred. She was very sweet and helpful.

We had a wonderful experience with Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital. Everyone we came in contact with was extremely helpful and nice. Our family would definitely recommend this facility to friends and family.

Great facility clean and therapists are very nice. BUT nurse techs and some nurses DID NOT wipe you clean. Literally poop full, they only wiped the outside of the butt. Got up for therapy mat full of poop and they still dressed me with it on me.

This was one of the most enjoyable and productive situations ever . The daily therapy kept me going and paid off tremendously in time of recovery . All the employees were super and supportive , these are truly 5 stars . An extra note , the food was all good and good for you . Ben Reed

These folks work together to get you back to the best you can be. This isn't a "rest and relax" rehab, it's a "work hard and get better" rehab. Following a stroke they brought me from virtually no movement on my left side to walking with a walker in 16 days. They are the only true physical rehab facility in Etowah county.

Wife was injured at RMC, fell in bathroom. Was sent to Encompass in Gadsden. Beautiful facility, staff was awesome. They took care of her night and day. They made sure she was comfortable, and she had a full time staff to see to her needs. Medically, and physically, would recommend this facility 100%. Our case manager Amy was great. Took care of setting up all of her follow up appointments arranged home health and physical therapy. Thank you Encompass.

My husband, Frank arrived at Encompass Rehab Gadsden after having neuro surgery at UAB. On arrival, he was not able to walk independently or use his hands and was experiencing some cognitive deficits. Everyday there was significant improvement. He regained strenght in all his extremities and is verbally responding appropriately. He received excellent care and was able to go home 11 days later. He walked out of Encompass using a Walker. We are extremely grateful ! Again thanks to the Doctors, Therapists, Nursing staff, Respiratory Tech, Dietary, and our Case Manager. May God bless each and everyone of you.

I just completed 12 days of inpatient therapy at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Gadsden, Alabama. I want to share that it was a very positive experience. I was treated with respect and felt like I received very professional care. In addition, the therapist were so encouraging at each of the three hours of therapy that I received daily. They went above and beyond to make sure I was successful. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing inpatient therapy.
