Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dothan

I came here because it’s closer to where I live but after getting here I knew it was the best choice. The staff were warm and welcoming. The nurses are truly considerate and want to help you get better . The therapists are amazing!!! Mrs Pecan and Kristin especially make you feel better. If I had to do this again I’d definitely come back here .

The staff here was so informative and helpful. They are so patient and respectful of the many questions that i asked. Would definitely recommend Encompass as a rehabilitation facility to my family and friends. Also, the therapists both physical and occupational was awesome to say the least. They made my transition back home so much easier.

I’ve made three 4.5 - 5 hour trips to Encompass Health of Dothan. My first trip was due to insurance limiting places I could go, but I’m so glad they did! The second and third time have been just as amazing as the first. I had been to an Encompass Health facility in Gadsden (closer to home) and it was a horrible experience. They treated me as I was a bother to them for my being there. They absolutely treated me as just a bothersome patient and never once tried to hide it. Encompass Health of Dothan is the complete opposite! They would get you up get ready for the day and get to it! I feel like Dothan did more in one week than Gadsden “tried” to do in two weeks. I absolutely recommend this facility! They treat you as a valued patient and person. They try and do everything they can to help you reach your goals. I can’t say enough about them. They’re worth the drive to me because I know they’re going to work with me and try everything in their power to help me get to where I need to be. They’ve helped bring me so far that now I’m considered independent with a walker, that’s a huge deal for me since I’d been in the hospital for almost 8 months without walking. To be considered independent anything right now is a big deal for me. Sorry to ramble, but I just love this place and its people

I would like to say a BIG thank you to the staff at Encompass. They went beyond caring for me in their daily work. I hated to leave the many friends that I made. If I ever need any od them, they are there for me! I wouldn't hesitate going back for any kind of therapy.

It was a very satisfying experience to see my brother treated at the Dothan Encompass Physical Therapy Clinic. All staff involved were very knowledgeable in their designated area of expertise. The therapy he received was very effective. My brother's physical level and mobility was quickly restored. I was also impressed with the positive attitude each employee exuded! Overall I give Encompass 5 stars out of 5 stars for professionalism and commitment to excellence.

The best experience that got me through the worst experience of my life. I couldn't have asked for a more caring and wonderful staff than those at encompass. My physical therapist Kirstin got me through the hardest days with her uplifting personality, genuine kindness, and attention to detail making sure that I'd be okay once l left the facility. They become your family away from home when you need it most. Cannot say enough good things about Encompass!

This is an amazing facility. Each staff member has exhibited deep care and compassion. Each has been extremely helpful and quick to respond to each need or question. I have improved 150% both physically, mentally, and emotionally since I have been here. The nurses, Kay, Jaquetta, Queneisha, Wanda, and all the others are the very best at what they do. The physical and occupational therapists, Kersten, Aubrey, Cynthia, Edna, Tracee, and all the others I interacted with have been kind and caring, and constantly encouraging, as they put me thru sometimes long hours of therapy. I’m stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally than I have been in years. I credit the entire staff with my excellent care. Doctors have visited every day and have also been caring and responsive. I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful facility and its staff. They are outstanding in every way.

Liz, was best PT she made me feel good about myself, I just didn't have enough time with her!!! I thought you were suppose to have 21 days I didn't I'm not pleased with the time I had ....they said I was uncooperative that's a LIE!!!! IF the therapist have me doing something and it hurts for instance he machine is hurting my leg and the therapist is ignoring my screams of pain she was looking at me like I was Crazy but she was the Crazy person she didn't have sense enough to understand to take me off the machine but then she had the nerve to say that I'm uncooperative I can't remember her name but I know her when I see her...in my opinion she's a very uncaring person!!!
