Empower Physical Therapy: Chandler Ocotillo

The entire staff at Empower is professional, kind, and personable. They achieve their success in providing physical therapy to help their clients target and maintain a healthy lifestyle for each individual. I highly recommend Empower!

Pt techs who are in school do most of the interaction. After 3 weeks of sessions, I am essentially doing exactly the same exercises. At each visit, the techs have to ask the main physical therapist how to do simple exercises. Training does not appear to be solid. Today they collected payment. No one told me what to do because they were so busy, so I warmed up on a bike on my own. The tech assigned to me today was scattered across 3 clients and answering phones and checking people in. She did not finish my routine because she had to take care of others and frankly did not appear to be keeping track of what I was doing. The main physical therapist asked if I could stay longer than an hour because she couldn’t get to me within the hour that I was there. The main physical therapist worked out some knots in tissue with direct manipulation for about 10 minutes max. She promised next time there would be new exercises. I have never received heat or cold therapy’s. This appears to be a very novice crew of workers . If you are in decent physical condition, I would seek a different office.

I came here in 2022 for my PT. The facility was stuck in a transition with different PT members cycling through - Nelson was a fantastic PT who I worked with in the end. Billing is a major concern as today I received a bill for amount I have already paid as part of patent responsibility - now I have to waste my time to fight the incorrect billing. Update on billing : 1 day later Called the billing dept. When I said the dates indicated in the billing was already paid. They said I had dates due in April 2022 that were being assigned to September 2022. I have asked them to assign the correct dates. The funny thing aspect is the April 2022 dates have also been paid. Their billing is a big mess - BEWARE!!!! Update : Even after speaking to the billing dept and clarifying that the co-pay is paid - they send me a bill again - that speaks to the quality of the billing dept. Keep your records - otherwise be ready for some headache.

Definitely recommend this place! Very thankful to Empower Physical Therapy on Ocotillo and Alma School! Ben, is amazing, so very kind and caring, explains everything with great detail. He has helped me a lot. I also greatly appreciated Maddy, she was awesome! Also, Kaiesa, Kensy, (sorry idk how to spell their names) they are so sweet, and very helpful. And of course shout out to Addison! She’s the all around get em done gal! From answering phones, to keeping everyone in order, to helping me get my exercises done correctly, she’s great. Love this PT place, the atmosphere is fun and energetic. All the staff is always smiling! Excellent job everyone!

From the moment I walked in, the team at Empower has helped me progress toward recovery. They double checked the diagnosis, listened to my concerns, and are now supporting me through a customized program. My progress is better than I could have hoped.

***Update #2*** So weeks later and no refund, but now they send me an arbitrary bill for services from almost a year ago. Multiple times they agreed they owed me. EOB’s prove it and they send a bill. Crooked and incompetent!!!Be warned, stay away! Plus none of the original competent therapists are there anymore. -original review- I’ve worked with Empower PT over the past 2 years for a few different conditions. Very happy with all the therapists and assistants. They’re all knowledgeable and they work close together. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. ***UPDATE*** Avoid at all costs, literally! I used them personally for over 100 visits, so when my son needed PT we brought him there. They refused to see him without a copay even though my health plan does not have copays. We paid it to avoid delaying his care. SEVEN MONTHS later and after several calls and promises of a refund, I still don’t have that refund. Today I had to send them all the documents again and start the process over. I was told it will take 8 more weeks to receive the refund. Are you kidding me? NEVER USE them, as I will never again use them. I have lifelong illnesses that guarantee I will need PT again, but they lost this customer! Empower, ask yourself ‘was it worth it?’

I have been to this same facility for rehab/therapy for many years and for different body parts. I've been so excited and genuinely pleased with the results each time. I have no hesitation in going to Rise and highly recommend this company and their staff to anyone who needs help. They all are fabulous and they get the results we need in order to function properly. Of course, no pain, no gain, but the pain lessens with each session and does not linger after the session.

Simply a great experience. I was sent to physical therapy after a soft-tissue injury to my neck. I will say I was very reluctant to go, but after my first session I had a change of heart. The staff at Rise are all very knowledgeable and thorough, but what sets Rise apart is the friendly atmosphere which made therapy enjoyable. I was also impressed with their sense of urgency and not once did find myself waiting or wasting time. That was huge for me. They also gave me the tools and exercises to continue my progress at home. I would definitely highly recommend Rise.
