They call 10 minutes before the appointment, made 3 months ago, to tell me they can't assist with what's needed. My insurance ended today. When speaking to the nurse practitioner Brianna, telling her it was horrible customer service, she didn't want to listen and hung up. Their staff constantly have attitudes and try to flip it on you. I wouldn't waste your time or money. Extremely unprofessional medical staff. Beware before wasting your time and energy. There is a reason they have a 2 star review

My experience here has been absolutely fantastic. The patient care is amazing, and my concerns are consistently addressed. Just recently had some complex fillings done on my front teeth (braces) and Dr. Nathaniel Jackson did an absolutely immaculate job, you can't even tell the cavities were there! My care team is great, and I couldn't ask for anything better at a primary physicians office.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. It is almost like they mess things up on purpose to avoid doing their job. I’ve been missing half of my lymph node exam results for 2 months so hopefully nothing is wrong, my NP Shawn Siquerous doesn’t respond to anything and took over a week to refill my asthma medication. Once it was finally refilled it was sent to the wrong pharmacy. I called to have it corrected and waited 20 minutes on the line only for Bianca in the front office to hang up on me immediately. I am so disappointed with how incredibly careless they are with people’s health. Please get a different job if you don’t care about people, makes no sense to go into healthcare.

This is for the Dental Office at the SE facility. My first visit was fine from the young lady at the front desk, Jessica to the 2 Assistants. Abi and I can't remember the other ones name, very sweet Hispanic young lady. Dr Jackson was also very kind. I went in yesterday July 1, for the 3rd time for a tooth that was infected. In a lot of pain wasn't really feeling good or thinking. The staff was rude, you know when they are talking about you when they both turn around to look at me . I went there in so much pain my sense of trying to understand was weak I know that and I'm sorry. Like I said before my pain for the 3rd time was unbearable

I had an issue with insurance and the front desk ladies went out of their way to fix the problem with a smile on their faces. Both of my kiddos see Lindsay Dunn, she’s been lovely and has addressed all concerns.

DO NOT COME TO EL RIO, this is the WORST MEDIAL CLINIC I’ve ever been a patient of. They have put me an My Wife through hell during during our 12 years of being patients with them. It’s always something it’s not just been one problem. And they are major problems. My fiancé almost died because her doctor did not correctly Diagnose her that she had Legit type 2 Diabetes. She then refused to take her off of the Metformin she prescribed her even though they could see through x-rays over time the metformin was giving her Liver disease because she had been on it so long and the doctor refused to give her Insulin instead which is WAY better for you than a pill version of it called metformin,I lost a job because of a petty thing my doctor did…She refused to sign a simple document for a medical release for a new job I had just obtained. I had to get a physical for my job and this form filled out. She refused to sign it knowing i needed this form to get this job which I told them about. She still refuses to sign it and fax back because I needed to see her in person for her to sign it. That was wildly incorrect and my employer told me that they’ve done thousands of they medical releases with everybody they hire and they said that this was the first time they’ve ever heard of a doctor refusing to sign a simple form because it wasn’t it person. I needed the form filled out with that day or by a couple days or they wouldn’t hire me.. I explained this to the Doctor and she still refused knowing I would get hired because of her not wanting to literally just sign her name to confirm a medicine that SHE prescribed to me. LOL. Just pathetic. I have multiple other family members who go through el rio who have gone through similar issues as well with them so it’s not just me. There’s a reason they just take anybody who has health insurance through the government. They DO NOT care about you they just want your money and for you to not be a problem to them which is why they never try and ween you off medicine or take you off completely. They just want you to stay on whatever works to keep you from being a pest to them as well as keep you as a patient. If they lose you as a patient they lose money. So they will pump you full of meds to keep you around as long as they can.. I spoke with the Head of the historical about all of these issues and guess what she said? She said “these are not our issues they are yours” knowing they cause me to lose a good job and my wife to have liver cancer and know that as well but to keep her on the same medication they know that gave her that Disease. They wouldn’t tell us it was a disease.. we had to go to a liver specialist and they diagnosed my wife with it and they couldn’t believe what EL Rio did to her. We now switched clinics and haven’t had any issues at all.

While I love my daughter's doctor at this location and when we have to get labs we can go to any location and have labs done on our time, but, their phone service is appalling. They open at 7am, right? You would think that when I call at 7:45am to schedule an ultrasound for my daughter, they would answer. right? Nope. I just sat on hold for 21 minutes and NO ONE picked up. What the heck are they doing that they cannot answer the phone, if it is staffing(short staffed), hire more staff! I just called back and wouldn't you know it, I am on hold. Again. I am reaching the 10 minute mark, so we will see.

Update: I got the after visit summary and 70% of what is stated on it is incorrect. I don’t know how someone can mishear so much information. She put that I had a preterm delivery when I did not. I had my son at 39w LMP | 40w 2d ultrasound with no complications. I had no pregnancy issues either. She said I denied having seizures and medication for 10-12 years which is incorrect. I told her how I have been seizure free for 10 years (3/10 years unmedicated after doctor cleared me to stop taking my medication). She put financial hardship because I am not paying $7k for the 72 hour eeg that wasn’t covered by insurance and was recommended not required. I can guarantee that her hearing stuff wrong and/or putting false information is the reason she didn’t accept me to be a patient. ____________________________________________ El Rio midwife Jennifer Garate refused to have me as a patient even though I was a low risk patient transferring from my previous birth center that I was a low risk patient at. She said that because I couldn’t afford to pay $7k for a 72 hour eeg not covered by insurance because it isn’t necessary (72 hour eeg that was in the note from my neurologist as recommended NOT required) that she couldn’t take me as a patient and she automatically viewed me as a high risk patient. I am a low risk patient. I was a patient through a birth center in Phoenix that I was going to transfer to El Rio Midwife and TMC from so if I was high risk I wouldn’t have been accepted as a patient at the birth center I was going to. Due to Jennifer Garate not caring about me having no seizures for the last 10 years, 3 years that have been unmedicated. As well as, a pregnancy and labor & delivery with my first with no complications and caring more about me not having $7k for a recommended service I can no longer have a water birth.
