Read some of the negative reviews and can’t disagree more, especially the staff. Extremely friendly and helpful on every visit. The NP Michelle is awesome and will spend as much time as you need to listen and answer all your questions. I’ve only seen Doc Uhler once, he had recent back surgery, but he was awesome as well. Every time I’ve been to the office, I’m yapping so long about my minor health issues and asking questions that other staff will eventually knock on the door to do a safety check. Never felt rushed. Always quick to do blood work and make sure all is good.

Dr. Uhler and his staff are exceptional! They provide excellent patient care to the point that it’s a unique experience. I have been with Dr. Uhler for over five years and he came highly recommended by a friend and I can see why. He treats his patients like family. Additionally, I believe what makes Dr. Uhler remarkable is his years of experience and knowledge. He has been very accurate with his diagnosis with me. If you are looking for a truly exceptional primary doctor I highly recommend Dr. Uhler!

Dr.Uhlers office is denying me my medical records. When I emailed the office requesting my medical records. I was confused when i was emailed back telling me "Dr Uhler only gives patients their records if subpoenaed by an attorney and it would go straight to the attorneys offices" (in other words they were not going to give them to me no matter what) Plus why are they talking about attorneys? I then sent the office a certified letter requesting MY medical records. It's been over 3 months, and I have not received them. California state law requires doctor must give the patient recorords be given in 5 days after the patient has written to request them. So this is illigal to deny someone their medical records, not to mention highly suspicious. Before i was told that I was no longer a patient of Dr. Richard Uhler, I had been calling daily asking about my MRI results. I just kept getting the run around, and i knew they had them When Dr.Uhler dumped me as a patient, he did not even give me ONE day to find myself a new doctor. So I called to see why i had this email telling me i was no longer his patient, I was told I had done something rude months prior to the dismissal (which makes no sense, because why would you wait months and continue to make appointments with me?). I was dismissed without any time to find another doctor, and without ever discussing my breast MRI , when it was his office that ordered me the MRI. So I called the facility who had done the imaging and asked them to send me the results. I had no idea what i was reading, but i could tell it did not look good. So I drove out to the Hoag ER hoping someone could tell me what all this meant. The very next day, a doctor from their breast center called me and had me come in. When I emailed Dr.Uhler about this. I was told I missed that appointment and was told via email the date that i had missed. When I went on my portal, the date of the appointment I was told I missed in order to go over the MRI was scheduled with a P.A, and not the actual doctor. California law requires the DOCTOR to go over an MRI with their patients, NOT a PA. (Strange about the portal).Because in the past his office told me they didn't use the portals anymore, so I was told to just ignore those emails . So because i was not going to be getting medical records any time soon i thought they like every other doctor should keeps patient information in your portal so i was hoping that maybe there would be all the things i needed in the portal, but all that was in my portal were appointments dates, NOTHING ELSE! t's like the doctor does not know the law or just believes he is above it. He is a spine doctor but I like many other people who saw the same UNLICENSED (but lied and said she was) therapist named RITA ANDERSON who called his office right infront of me where she made me my first appointment with him inorder to get Benzodiazapams and ADDERALL, so this should not be a complete surprise to me that when I had a real problem, that needed A REAL doctors attention and not simply a prescription that this would happen. What is a surprise is the continued gaslighting I recieve from his office. They sent me bills on these supposed missed appointments which I paid because I did not want them on my credit report only to receive more bills printed months after I paid them. It is like dealing with teenage girls. If it were not for them continuing to Gaslight me, I probably would have never decided to give my time and write this review.

Will be looking for a new PCP soon. If you like doing everything virtually, and being told that you are not important, this is your place. But, if you want to be seen in person to evaluate your symptoms and concerns, then I highly suggest you go elsewhere. This place will defer you to somewhere else and tell you to go see urgent care unless you are a high-risk patient. COVID has really screwed up these doctors' mentalities, and they forget that they work for the people they serve. Who gets to decide who is a priority and who is not? It's absolutely ridiculous.

I love Dr. Uhler but over the past few years the billing has been messed up. At a yearly wellness visit I told Dr. I was having a total knee replacement and I got billed for knee pain appointment. Weird, I wasn't asking for advice just made a statement to Dr. . after making a phone call to ins it is being taken care of. The girl in billing seems very nice but the office staff sending over info is not competent. I never had a problem in the past.

I’ve had my last argument with this god forsaken place. Believe the negative reviews. In 15 years of seeing doctors and specialists from the east coast to overseas to the south, I have never experienced such disrespect from medical staff. The office staff is horrendous and will not take an ounce of accountability for anything they miscommunicate and do incorrectly, it’ll be deflected onto you, it’ll be your fault. They are allowed to disrespect and when you call them on it they will talk you in circles manipulating the situation to work in their favor. Also, don’t you dare try to defend yourself nor advocate for yourself they feel they matter more. Excuse me but no I will not be disrespected by people that I put my health in their hands. It’s disgusting, the behaviors that were displayed by the office staff, and due to their incompetence and lack of listening skills you will pay for it. If you want to be ignored, invalidated, disrespected, interrupted, and degraded you will love it here. So insanely happy to be rid of them. This is also to include the office director, that decided to scream at me on the phone while I was discussing my concerns with the nurse. Apparently the nurse was unable to listen long enough to understand me, but was quick with interruptions and speaking over me. I should not have to tell grown adults on various occasions to not interrupt me while I’m speaking. Truthfully it feels like that office is ran by teenagers that interrupt, don’t listen, and will gaslight you into oblivion. If the office director is easily able to scream at a patient she is the reason her staff provides the same amount of disrespect. Having a good team starts at the top. Do better and you wouldn’t have to fight with your patients.

Dr. Uhler and his staff are amazing. My husband and I both have Dr. Uhler as our primary doctor. He has been our doctor for about 4 years. We've dealt with minor things, broken bones, surgery recovery, and just general physicals etc. We love his approach. Never feels like he under-treats or over-treats whatever is going on. His front office staff are easy to work with and very responsive.

I have been a patient of Dr. Uhler for about four years and he and his staff are wonderful people and have always treated me with kindness and respect. It is so rare to find happy, helpful doctor's office staff and it was a breath of fresh air to work with them. I have recently moved out of the state and must find a new physician in my area and can only hope to find an office as nice as Dr. Uhler's.
