DMU Clinic in the MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex

We have been very happy with Des Moines University at the RecPlex. My daughter primarily sees Dr. Lauren Mach and we think she is amazing! She is caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and amazing at what she does. My daughter is an athlete and has had a few injuries over the last few years. Lauren gets to the root of the problem and her treatment plans have been effective in healing, strengthening, and reducing pain. Lauren explains/demonstrates things in a way that is easy for my daughter to understand. We are very thankful for Lauren!

The DMU RecPlex Physical Therapy Department is outstanding! I started therapy pretty much convinced I needed surgery, and thanks to Dr. Lauren Mach, today I was discharged feeling much better. She not only gave me physical therapy exercises, but helped me understand "why" I was doing them and how to do them correctly! Jessica at the front desk was also helpful every time I called or came in for an appointment! Best physical therapy experience I have ever had, (and i've had a lot)! Thank you, Lauren!

When I came to Physical Therapy with Lauren Mach, I could barely walk into the RecPlex. The pain with each step was at times unbearable. Lauren began treating me at a very basic level, then added more exercises as I progressed. She also worked on my hip, because when my walk was compromised, my hip became tight and inflamed as well. She never asked for more than I could give and within weeks, I was walking pain free! I would recommend Lauren to anyone who is unable to live their best life due to physical pain. She is so friendly and encouraging to her patients. Lauren Mach is the highest level professional in her field.

My daughter just completed physical therapy with Lauren Mach at the RecPlex. Lauren has been our families Physical Therapist for several years. She is very knowledgeable, keeps abreast of the latest technology, explains things well, and consistently goes that extra mile to insure her patient’s success.

I’m extremely satisfied with my decision to come here for my back issues. I had been having pain for a couple years with my lower back and really wanted the tools to be able to help myself, and Lauren gave me exactly that. Every visit I have learned something new and been given new stretches that help get me back to normal and almost no pain.
