Where to begin on how welcoming Casey and the team are! I came in for physical therapy after an open fracture, and while the experience has been challenging, Casey has made the entire journey much easier. Her vibrant energy, deep empathy toward her patients, and extensive knowledge have been invaluable. Casey is both strong and direct with our exercises, but she balances it with encouragement and gentleness. I’ve never felt so welcomed at a place before. Though I have a long road to full recovery, Casey has made each step of this journey uplifting . In just the month I’ve been here, I’ve made significant progress, and I truly owe it to her.

I was previously referred to the Clarendon office with a hand injury and the staff did a wonderful job in getting me back to normal. So, when I had another injury on my arm, I was pretty confident in going to Desert Hand and PT. However the original office was closed so I was referred to the Laveen location. Needless to say, DHPT never let me down. This location is super friendly moreso than the last! Every staff member makes you feel right at home and is always interested in hearing about you and your interests. I noticed a difference with this facility because the energy here is so light and welcoming. Even the patients are happy due to the atmosphere and the staff's positive presence. I love it here! I highly recommend because I get such a good challenge with my therapy that it helps so much in my everyday activities. I love that the staff cares so much about your needs and does their best to accommodate you while getting you to be stronger and feeling better. Great job Casey, Sienna, Carlos and Arelhy! I appreciate you!

DHPT has got the best staff I have ever dealt with from the young lady at the front desk with her warm welcoming smile to Sienna and Kacy with the amazing knowledge and treatment of my injury was well above my normal experience I have had and I have had a lot. The vibe at DHPT was simply amazing it was a honor me to go there for my injury rehabilitation on a scale of 1-10 DHPT easily gets a 12 in my book.

I would have given this clinic 5 stars if it weren't for the a lack of insurance knowledge, poor billing practices, and inflexibility regarding delaying patient payments until after insurance has been processed. The front staff at the Laveen location are professional and personable, as are the therapy staff, who also have a solid knowlege base in all things arms and hands. I received excellent care from the OT and OTA with whom I worked, and I made progress during the short time I was there. Their somewhat self directed approach to OT was novel to me, but I appreciate the nature of it and how a more patient-centered protocol involves the patient more in their rehabilitation process. That being said, I was disappointed with their handling of billing and payments. I'm on a high deductible plan, with a 10% patient responsibility once the deductible is met. When I started therapy there my deductible had already been met, so my out of pocket should have been 10% of the discounted cost for each date of service. Although I tried to explain this multiple time to the onsite staff as well as the remote biller, it was questioned and I was told I needed to pay more than my out of pocket responsibility. I was told that I had to pay higher costs than what I should have because "it goes toward your maximum out of pocket". This is not how it works. In the end I was correct, and should have only paid $54.35 for all five of my visits. Instead they had me pay $100 for the first visit and $10 for the second visit, which they referred to as a co-pay. As I explained, my coverage does not have co-pays, only a 10% co-insurance after the deductible is met, which it had been. On the third visit I was told I'd need to pay again, but prior to that visit I'd call billing and explained the problem. She also tried to say that it would go toward my out of pocket maximum, which I said was incorrect, and told her I'd prefer to hold off on making any furthter payments because I was certain I'd already overpaid even for all 5 visits that I would eventually complete. Now, weeks after completing my treatment, and after waiting for all the insurance payments to be reimbursed to them, I requested my refund of $55.65, and will have to wait 4-6 weeks to recieve my check. This is bad practice, and because of this I will not return to this clinic, which is a shame because as I said, the OT staff are knowledgeable and offer excellent care. I would highly recommend further training for billing and front desk staff about this type of insurance plan so other patients are not overpaying and waiting for refunds.

They will get you really buff man hands. Casey is a ball of joy and is always cheerful. Sienna is so chill and laidback, super cool. Carlos’s hands are stupid strong so the stretches hurt, like they are supposed to. Trevor’s muscle control is otherworldly. He made my fingers scream like a Mariah Carrey note. Arelhy is very nice, she made me feel better about my situation and was willing to try to make me feel better even though I was in the dumps.
