DeKalb Regional Medical Center

I recently had a surgery that included an overnight stay at Dekalb Regional Medical Center. I honestly can't say enough good things about the care I received while I was there. The doctors and nurses were super responsive if i needed anything, everyone was friendly with a pleasant bedside manner that really gave me & my husband peace of mind to allow him to be able to go home for the night without and rest without worrying about the level of care i would receive. Everyone that was involved from arrival to departure took the time to come by and introduce themselves, let me know what their role would be and answer my questions. Thank you for the excellent care and providing reassurance and comfort during a stressful process.

My wife was in the ER tonight and Dr reddy Deepak kolagat got really rude an hateful with my wife and told her not to come back to the ER cuz she can't got use the bathroom due to a infection. This hospital is trash ans they need to hire real Drs that care about the patients and that will listen to them an there symptoms then treat them the right way. I rather I've the hospital no stars and I will probably start taking my wife to a different hospital to get the right care that she needs

My mother recently had a procedure at DeKalb Regional Medical Center and received excellent care. She is a nursing home resident and requires total care. Every single staff member showed patience and met her with compassion. I can’t express how thankful I am for a community hospital that strives to provide exceptional care to all its people.

I had an unexpected trip to the ER, and I want to express my deep appreciation for the care I received. Kayla at the front desk was incredibly comforting and compassionate when I needed it most. The entire team, including Dedra, RNP, the phlebotomist, and the rest of the staff, treated me with dignity and showed genuine empathy for my situation. I’m truly grateful for their kindness and professionalism.

The emergency department is dirty sat in there for 4 hours it never got cleaned even though people had bodily fluids on the furniture. The emergency dept is a joke instead of trying to figure out what is wrong they accuse people of being pill seekers. It's amazing when you can go one town over and they admit you into the hospital for the same problem you were told nothing was wrong with you. If I could give this hospital a zero I would I thought after HH bought it it would change but it hasn't. Don't waste your money or your insurance money here go somewhere else

My mother is a patient in ICU at this time. We could have not asked for better care. Dr. Marten has been so good with her and the family also. The nursing staff was great also. Thanks for taking such good care of my Mama.

My husband was sent for outpatient labs because the local urgent care could not find a vein to draw blood from. After they made multiple attempts they sent him to the hospital. The registration process didn't take too long and the lab was excellent. Shelia did a great job. She drew his blood in one attempt and he barely even felt the needle!

I am a caretaker for a close friend and brought her to the ER this morning with her having symptoms of chest pains. We were immediately put in a room and Dr. Smith was the attending physician. I felt very compelled to write a review on his behalf due to being treated myself many times before and this particular doctor was amazing. His thoroughness and professionalism was over and beyond any other physician I have ever seen and treated my loved one with the best of his ability. Special shout out for Dr. Smith as I see him personally as a fabulous asset to our local hospital facility. Thank you Huntsville Hospital for your stepping up the game of care and professionalism in the medical industry.
