Pretty good military clinic. Used to be a hospital years ago but got downgraded. Great chiropractic care and the laboratory is super fast and friendly. Very clean facility albeit a bit old. Great views of the mountains. The parking lot can be a bit tricky, so be careful walking in and out of there as well as parking or leaving in your car. Angled parking spots with one way lanes but most people don’t pay attention.

Orthopedic clinic forced me to wait an additional month for an appointment when I could have seen an off base specialist in 3 days. They then had me seen by a PA. Who proceded to tell me my options were steriod injections. And they wouldn't even consider surgery before the injections. And if they did do surgery they would not repair the meniscus but just cut pieces out. I requested a second opinion and they again took my referral with right of first refusal and said I had to see their doctor. Sorry but seeing a different person in the same clinic is not a second opinion. Oh and the appointment is another 3 weeks away. Pathetic standard of care. Allow me to see an actual orthopedic doctor off base where they have all the possible treatment options available to them.

Missed two appointments. I know, it’s my responsibility to keep track, but both times I was assured that they would send a reminder call or txt the day before. Made sure my info is up to date. Didn’t happen. Didn’t get a call. So, now I’m sure I’m in the system as a chronic appointment skipper. Don’t know what I’m going to do now. Hopefully I can change my primary care doctor so I don’t have to deal with the Academy clinic.

Have had pretty decent service with the Clinic in the past. But at my most recent appointment I dared to ask some detailed questions about the advice Nurse Assistant Chandler was providing. She literally stormed out of the the exam room (mumbling something to the effect "I can't deal with you right now") and left me sitting there alone. Wondering what to do next after waiting a few, I walked down the hall to find her complaining about me to a room of other staff members. Fortunately, I was able to get in with Dr. Morehouse that morning. (He's always been great BTW...and willing to answer questions). The most frustrating thing about this incident...after contacting Patient Advocate...they never called to follow up with me as promised. After contacting them after a week, I was essentially told no action was going to be taken. OBTW I served 28 years as a Naval Officer so I have a little experience with military medicine. In what world is this professional behavior for a medical professional? Apparently at the USAFA clinic.

We have been very happy with our doctor at the AFA. We see Dr Bentele. He is the best military doc I've had in probably all the years I've been military. My husband and I are very happy with the care we get. We will be sad to see him go when it's his time to move on.

My daughter was born here in 1986. Great care and I doubt it has changed any since.

If I had to pick a negative thing to review it would be the disjointed parking lots. Otherwise fantastic

Dropped off 'scripts for meds. Picked them up a couple of hours later.
