Decatur Hand & PT Specialists are hands down one of the BEST PT teams I've ever worked with. I had the opportunity to work with Star and Rob over the last 1.5+ years. Both were attentive to my needs, listen to my history, and worked with me to regain strength to meet daily activities. To be honest, I have no idea where I would be without Star Banks. After multiple surgeries, I had a long recovery road ahead of me. Star was there every step of the way coaching and cheering me on. MANY THANKS to Star, Rob, and the entire team working to improve patient lives, for the focused sessions and recommendations that helped me get back on track. Physical therapy is critical part of the recovery process and I HIGHLY recommend this team!

I did Pelvic PT with Rachel for about a year for my endometriosis. It was an amazing experience. All of my symptoms are now in remission. Rachel is a great person and very informative. If you have endometriosis, I highly recommend looking into pelvic PT. Pelvic PT can also be useful pre & post surgery. I went from sleepless nights and daily pain to feeling normal again. So thankful!! Thank you Rachel. You positively impacted my life more than you know.

Whole team from front desk to therapists were all super helpful and kind. Alexis was the best! She was always very thorough and her experience level was apparent through all of our sessions and advice she would give. I’ll always remember her for at least our first session when she removed my cast and I saw the stitches for the first time and almost passed out at the table. Forever thankful for her always being such a calm, patient, and genuinely nice person while helping me get my finger back to almost normal! Hopefully I never break anything else in my hand but if I’m ever in need of hand therapy again I’d call this place first.

Rob West is THE BEST! I am so appreciative for his help in determining the best course of action for knee and Achilles tendon PT. Rob West listens and takes action. Then it's up to the patient at that point. I highly recommend Mr. West! Thank you.

I've been seeing Erika at Decatur Hand and PT since 2022 for various medical issues, and I can't recommend her enough. Erika is an outstanding therapist—patient, friendly, and kind, yet she knows exactly when to push you to achieve the best results. She provides effective exercises to do at home and always follows up on your progress in a timely manner. What impresses me most is how Erika manages to give undivided attention to each of her patients, even when working with more than one at a time. It never feels like she's too busy, and she always remembers details from your previous sessions, no matter how much time has passed. Her ability to recall your progress and tailor her questions and treatment plans specifically to your needs is truly remarkable. Additionally, everyone at Decatur Hand and PT is fantastic. The staff is consistently responsive and helpful, from the therapists to the billing department. The environment is welcoming and supportive, making every visit a positive experience. Went for pelvic floor PT during pregnancy/post partum and PT for my back after that. Star and Avie, respectively, were incredible guides to finally find comfort in my body and learn how to care for myself. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The therapists were thorough in their questioning regarding my various needs for physical therapy. The preliminary physical tests to determine my baselines, were enlightening, and the exercises I was given to strengthen the 3 areas of concern were well explained and documented on paper. The 2 therapists I have worked with were very pleasant and gave thorough explanations as to what the exercises were to achieve, and how to perform them. Both experiences were actually enjoyable.

There are not enough words to describe how well my recovery went after a stint in Grady Hospital. The team is amazing and fun to work with in spite of the difficulty some days in completing the work needed for recovery. The team made it feel like I could recover and did so with both hand, shoulder and arm physical therapy.
