I was attacked by a knife in December of 2021 in San Francisco. I was sent to CPMC by my UCSF Surgeons for Hand Therapy as they even said they were the best in the Bay Area, even over their own Clinics. I have to agree, the Therapists know their stuff and are kind and caring. Tiffany the lead therapist in the Hand Clinic is amazing, she has worked with me weekly since December. Last month September of 2022, I had a second major surgery to repair the nerve, and am hopeful I will recover full use of my left hand. From the Receptionists to the Therapists, I can't say enough good things about the care I receive here weekly. -Mark E. Sackett

This review is directed at the receptionist and administration. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful, they will not schedule more than two appointments at a time. They make you schedule through a call center, that will have you on the phone 15 minutes or more - instead of having reception do it in less than 2 minutes, like every other place. Wouldn't it be easier for the receptionist to schedule appointments? Apparently not, I would like to know what else reception is doing because they did not seem busy. My issue here is that because of this system they have no availability of appointments and therefore there is no continuity or frequency of physical therapy sessions required for proper care. At this rate I have had 2 appointments in 4 weeks. The therapist I met was really nice, however, I DO NOT recommend this place because you will not receive the care needed to make your condition better if you're not able to go in as requested by your doctor (in my case, twice a week).

Derek Lee is one of the best therapists I've met, managed to help me with a bicep tendonitis within weeks after months of PT and other modalities did nothing to help

I had taken therapy appointments for my trigger fingers and staff over there were very friendly, helpful and professional. They listened my problems/symptoms carefully and planned the treatment accordingly.

$600 for a PT session!?!! How is this helping? I was referred here - my doctor at UCSF charged me less than that for an appointment.
