Dahl Memorial Clinic

I want to sincerely thank each of the Dahl Memorial Clinic staff who tended to me on 9/16 after my confrontation with a big rock! Nicolas (who welcomed me with kindness), Bill (who graciously returned after finishing his shift just to take care of me), and the attending nurse (whose name I'm sorry to say I've forgotten). I'm so grateful to all three of you for your excellent service. According to my doctor, my head wound is healing well and my knee will recover with time, thanks to your expertise. If you wouldn't mind, please pass along my heartfelt gratitude to the extremely competent and lovely Firemen who carefully tended to me. The medical staff and the front office staff were amazing at this clinic. I was on a cruise ship and, over the course of a few days, the white of my eye increasingly turned red until it was completely red. They tested my vision as well as looked at the eye. PA Bill Weiss was concerned I may have to go back to Juneau for additional care but after consulting the other doctors came to the conclusion that I had a subconjunctival hemorrhage. My eye was bruised and like a bruise it would just take time to heal. I could continue having fun on my cruise!! Thank you DMC!!

They are amazing! The front desk woman is so sweet. I have seen two doctors there and both were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The nurses were great as well! I have had bad experiences in the past with medical professionals and I just can't believe how they managed to obtain such wonderful staff in such a small community. You guys are awesome, keep up the good work!

Was in Alaska on a cruise and went for a hike in Skagway. On a hike I slipped and my knee came down on a rock requiring staples. PA Bill and nurse Amy were awesome- kind, professional, and knowledgeable. The visit was efficient and took much less time than I expected. Very happy I went to this clinic as opposed to seeking treatment on the ship. They billed insurance whereas the cruise ship leaves it up to you to try and get reimbursed. If anyone finds themselves in a similar situation I highly recommend this clinic.

This place is a joke. Not only did they almost give me a heart attack when I came in with kidney stones, but they are taking my husband off medication he’s been on for years, no weaning process. This medication can cause you to go in to major withdrawals. He needs it for severe anxiety and this place doesn’t care. They treat you like a drug addict if you need anything other than Tylenol, are completely helpless if they don’t like you, and lie about a drug being unprescribable because of the FDA. But then when you provide evidence that they are lying, they just say they can’t do it. My husband isn’t on pain meds, despite living in dibilitating pain every single day, and yet they treat him as if his medical issues are a joke to them. I’ve never had a nurse or doctor treat me like an idiot, until I came here. The things they say to people just shock me. Strongly considering having my attorney do something about this. It’s inhumane the way they treat people who actually need help. I love the town, but this place couldn’t care less if you need help. Disgusting.

The staff was very friendly and efficient. I was able to be seen, treated and back on my tour on time. Thank you
