Crossroads Speech and Occupational Therapy

We used Crossroads through Early Intervention for about 1.5 years for our son who had some developmental delays. We were lucky enough to have the same pathologist, Sara S, the entire time and she was tremendous! She was very flexible in that she would meet our son at his daycare or even Zoom with us on days he was at home sick. We would receive detailed write-ups regarding their sessions after each meeting with suggestions of how to improve his speech development at home. We saw great growth in his speech abilities, including drinking with a straw, due to his work with Sara. She also is respected enough in the SLP community that she had a couple of graduate student assistants during our time with her as well.

My (now 3 year old) daughter- who we’ll call ‘N’- worked with Claire for speech and I noticed her communication improve significantly! Claire was a pleasure to have come to our home every week and we looked forward to her visits as did ‘N’. She was vibrant and refreshing, and she treated us like family. Claire was always so cheerful and bubbly and it always came off as genuine. Claire’s expressive play helped engage N in play and her education background combined with this skill helped N to reach her speech goals on schedule. Not only was Claire resourceful when I had questions, but she included us in the sessions and explained what and how N would communicate or why she used one method versus another. It was very informative and interesting to learn, and Claire very evidently enjoys what she does. She was the perfect fit for our daughter and we all will miss her so much. Thank you, Claire!

Claire worked with our son on his expressive language development. Within a few months, her strategies helped him to meet his goals. Miss Claire also helped him learn his first signs, which he is using with intention now! We are grateful for such a wonderful experience with Miss Claire!

My child attended crossroads speech from January 2024 through the fall, when we had to stop for the school schedule. In our time there, he's had two SLPs (most recently Claire) who have been absolutely wonderful. They use a play based approach that kept my child interested and wanting to go to speech, and the most important thing is we have seen tremendous progress in his intelligibility by unfamiliar listeners as well as his ability to pronounce certain sounds in organic speech. We will definitely be back to crossroads next summer.

My daughter worked with Sara. Sara is patient, kind, engaging, and supportive. She established a really meaningful relationship with my daughter, as well as supported her in her speech development. My daughter looked forward to speech every week! The owner, Katie, is also really sweet and easy to work with. This entire place has wonderful and welcoming energy.

My son has had the absolute pleasure to work with Atur Oraha for over a year. She has been incredibly helpful in not only helping and accelerating his speech development, but she has been such a wonderful cheerleader and role model for my son. She is patient, kind and ensures time together is fun and enjoyable. Atur is the best and we are so happy we found her!

My son received speech at Crossroads for the last 1.5 years. He most recently worked with Claire and it was a great experience and saw his speech and confidence grow each week! Claire is great to work with!

Had a wonderful experience for my toddler’s speech therapy. Staff are very friendly and flexible. We had several sessions in the office and then our therapist Atur also came to my kiddos day care for therapy. She was very patient and gave us suggestions at home to help facilitate my kiddos speech. He very much enjoyed his sessions and looked forward to them. After less than a year, my kiddo made so much progress and recently “graduated” from speech therapy. Atur was accessible and was very good about communicating updates, scheduling changes, etc. would 100% recommend!
