Covina Rehabilitation Center

This place is one of the most horrible experience me and my loved ones have had to endure. I wouldn't recommend anybody else going there, the staff is alright, I mean some of the staff are straight horrible while a few are completely angelic. However they are always understaffed and just recently my loved one that I have had to leave the was forced to sit in his own diaper for over 2 hours after he asked to be changed. One nurse came in to take care of him while another nurse stopped her and told her to go pick up so the trays before she could help him... Leaving my family member without proper care for much too long. In fact this is only one instance out of dozens that I should be sharing on here. But I haven't had a chance to do so.

My mother was at a different facility in San Diego, Monica & Tieja went out of their way to help me bring her to this facility. They helped set up her transportation and took the time to help me, my mom, and family out when we were under a lot of stress. They were so helpful, I’m so happy with the care and facility!

Beware if a love one end up in this place Nurse Ray is a liar, she will tell family member anything, not knowing that We actually care for our love one She said that the strong medications (norco) was given since our family member got getting here Med never has been given, and our love one has a broken hip and high level.of pain They move the patient like is a bag of potatoes No internal communication and if the Nurse doesn't like you (like nurse Nancy) they will just try everything to get you put of the equation

Unless you're really desperate and have no other options, I would highly recommend taking your loved one elsewhere. I've timed several times how long they take responding or assisting someone for a diaper change or restroom help. On average your loved one will wait over an hour to be cleaned or helped, no sense or urgency. Staff could improve their people skills and lack of empathy. They're always losing or "misplacing" equipment needed for a patient. Most unorganized facility I've ever encountered. That's just the tip of the iceberg. PLEASE CONSIDER OTHER PLACES

My dad stayed at this facility for a couple of months and really enjoyed his stay. We are glad we chose the facility and thankful for the care he received. The rehab team helped him get back on his feet & the nursing staff was always attentive.

My grandfather was sent to Covina nursing home after falling in his apartment. The rehab staff went above and beyond to get my grandpa back to where he was to be able to come back home. The staff were very friendly and cared for their residents. Melfa is the best nurse!

The rooms are old, outdated, the beds are falling apart, all of their furniture is from prior patients, that is why theres no pictures of their rooms since the hallways are way better looking than the rooms.I had a family member who was not Mobil in this Center for almost 2 weeks, the staff was always very respectful and kind but their excuse to not attending my family member with a diaper change was that they were always on their lunch, staff would always throw the responsibility on to eachother and they would always have be called to do so. We visited her almost everyday that she was in there, each time we were there lights were turned on for assistance and we personally watched nurses go around, walk by or just turn around and not bother to attend the patients that had their light on. My family member waited at least an hour and 30min to be changed or to be wheeled back to her room as she was left alone in the dining room a few times with nobody around to help, staff were hard to find specially when assistance was needed. We had to remove her from there and that in itself was a struggle, Dealing with Lucy the Social Worker made it extremely difficult to close the process, as she was very unprofessional, lied about getting things done just to extend her stay even longer. If your have a family member that you plan on leaving there to be cared for I do not recommend it, staff gets lazy and just stands around to chat unless they see family around they get it done. Fortunately my family member was verbal and we were able to speak up for her. There's no control over who walks in and walks out.

My father's stay here was great. The staff is amazing. Everyone we met there was very welcoming. The facility is kept very clean. My dad felt very safe here. Thank you to all that helped my dad.🥰
