Cornerstone Physical Therapy

I've been torn on writing this review. I wish I could give 2 scores. The service I received, spectacular! The physical therapists (I worked with 2 of them) were great!! They listened to me as to where my problem areas were, what my goals were we were trying to accomplish and very good at their jobs! I've give them 5 stars all day! The billing department, not good. In January, I was wrapping up my PT. On my last visit, I asked if there was any billing that I needed to settle up on. I was told "No, you are all set. Nothing is owed." End of July, I get a bill for $391. 6 months after I was told I owed nothing, I contacted the billing department. After communicating my frustration of this surprising invoice, I received the following email: "I wanted to express my apology once again that the front office did not properly communicate how the billing process is handled and that any accounts that require a co-insurance/ deductible billed out to the insurance company may come back with further patient responsibility. This is however the responsibility of the patient to know their contractual agreement with their insurance carrier. We do our best to explain benefits to the best of our ability for ease and convenience but it is up to the patient to understand their benefits with the insurance company. I would also like to add that the national healthcare breach that occurred in February halted any/all billing practices until the federal government was able to secure the system and restore billing practices, This delay caused hardship to every medical facility. Many had to close due to the lockout of billing systems across the country from Feb 21st to May 31st. The reopening in May allowed the insurance companies to finally file claims and process payments back to medical facilities across the country.” While I appreciate the apology, I don’t feel I should be blamed for not know my entire policy by line. And I was able to get other medical facilities bills in that time. I will pay the bill, but this wasn’t the best billing experience.

Conveniently located outside of Hampton Hall. This is a full physical therapy location. There are several machines for exercising and private rooms for evaluations. Staff is very welcoming and immediately get to work. There was no wait and the physical therapist was very helpful and nice. Highly recommend this business.
