One year ago my 60 lb. dog ran full speed into my left knee. I had severe knee pain for over 3 months. I could barely walk. Subsequently, I started having pain in my left SI joint and left buttock which radiated down the lateral side of my leg similar to iliotibial band syndrome. I have been to chiropractors , acupuncturist, massage therapists, had two orthopedic evaluations (the last dr wanted to give me an si fusion) and a currently getting ready to start my fourth round of physical therapy. I have had X-rays of my lower back, hip, and knee, as well as an MRI of my knee in which the radiologist stated that the findings were “suspicious of a meniscus tear” but were not conclusive. After the MRI, I had a new injury to my knee while playing around with my younger sister. Since that episode, I haven’t been able to bend my knee without pain, and I cannot do anything involving that knee. The pain started in my knee and that I feel caused a cascade of events leading to my SI pain, piriformis like pain, and my IT band syndrome. It is my knee that is the problem causing so of the other conditions and I feel doctors and therapists are not paying enough attention to my knee as being the problem and are all focusing on other things such as SI joint syndrome, and now trying to say it is a back problem when I’ve not had any back pain whatsoever. I worked with Jared bell who insisted this issue was not because of my knee, he seemed to be hung up on my burning symptoms, My last pt actually cared and wanted to help me, this guy literally had me doing push ups on a bed in his office, I was on my stomach the entire time and he’d rub an area of my back the entire time, it was literally ridiculous. This issue has been hard enough on me, it has literally changed my life so it’s really disappointing that he couldn’t at least be empathetic instead of being insistent on being right. I personally don’t have time to waste, my KNEE does in fact KILL me as well as my butt and THEY CAN be tied together, hello. It’s frustrating because I’m not sure how I’m expected to live with a knee that constantly hurts. I cannot sleep on it, bend it, keep it crossed whatsoever, it crunches a ton and when I try to bring it to my chest it feels like there is something (glass?) in my knee that is stopping it from being able to close all of the way. Despite all of this, I’ve done TONS of exercise, water therapy, walk 10+ steps a day because I refuse to not move, even though I’m in a ton of pain. So pathetic these people don’t actually care!!! Aside from that, they also don’t call to remind you about appointments which would be nice and when you arrive there, they don’t call you back till about 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, super unprofessional. He wasted SO much of my time, I’m in chronic pain, it’s like none of these professionals care because they don’t understand and they are too proud to admit it, you’d think they’d take an interest in this problem and want to look into things but they are lazy, period. My last physical therapist at least wanted to figure out the issue, have no idea why I was moved from them to someone to incompetent. 🤦🏻♀️ it is so exhausting having to explain this issue over and over to people, not every patient is the same. Whether my mri shows anything or not, my knee was clearly damaged, I’m not coming to these professionals for fun, I’d much rather be living the life a normal young person should be living, not spending my time in physical therapy places with rude people. The doctor who referred me to him referred me for my KNEE , now I’m being referred to another pt for my KNEE because he believes it’s extremely weak tho he did not perform any strength testing on it.. anyway the dr wants my knee worked on so I should have been doing that! Personally, I’ve worked on my knee already with another pt but my dr made it sound like these people were going to do something entirely different, anyway what else can I do or say at this point, no one will listen. I really can’t say how frustrating & depressing this is. 🤦🏻♀️

Such an amazing team and staff. Every person that we have connected with at CORE has been helpful and friendly. They're efficient and great at what they do. Two have my kids have been there for different sports injuries and came back stronger and more confident. Love this place!

Amazing place. Post Op is tough, but the staff at Core, and Jarod (hope I spelled his name right) in particular, are very aware of that fact. They include me in decisions about my recovery, and aren't afraid to adjust treatment on the fly. The best part of this experience has definitely been my time at Core.
