Core Pediatric Therapy

Kristie is amazing. She has been an angel in my son's life, helping him with his tongue tie, releasing fascia and helping him latch better, sit up unassisted, amongst other things. She is a joy to be around and a breath of fresh air. My son loves her and I am so grateful for her that I travel 3 hours to come to her practice. She is one of a kind and any child and parent would be lucky to work with her!

Our experience with Kristie was beyond helpful, informative and wonderful! Kristie is extremely knowledgeable in what she does and was always willing and able to answer any of my questions during our sessions together. I would say she even went above and beyond answering them and would take the time to show me with demonstrations, text, photos etc. My 7 month old had a head turn preference, lower jaw tone and just overall tightness in his body. He no longer has any of these things and is the happiest baby. I am so thankful for finding Core Pediatric Therapy and the opportunity to give my baby the best possible start to his life.

If it weren’t for Kristy my husband and I know we wouldn’t have the son we have today. Kristy rewired our son’s sensory nervous system allowing him to be able to process information efficiently without getting overwhelmed. My son struggled to participate in the introduction of sports, would not know where to begin at playgrounds or museums and had a speech delay. Even though my son wanted to be in these environments, It would take him a minimum of 30 minutes to even get situated where he could begin to figure out what he wanted to do in them. With Kristy’s intervention in challenging his nervous system and desensitizing it from the overwhelming feeling of sensory overload has allowed him to integrate into activities at a typical pace, play with new kids on the playground without feeling scared or shy, and now he is in tball playing on a team! My son has also recently learned to swim stroke technique after struggling with swim lessons since he was 1 years old. It was no time before I brought this struggle to her attention and then his ability to swim really took off (his swim instructor is my witness). Kristy works with kids from a bottom up approach and goes back to the reflex fundamentals that need attention in every developing child. I see first hand how this approach started to change my son. Within weeks of starting treatment with Kristy his speech exploded and now he is age appropriate. My son’s comprehension and processing ability has also went from delayed to age appropriate. I have a happy, well adjusted, little boy who is no longer in a fear/freeze state and enjoying all the aspects childhood offers. Believe me I did my research on occupational therapists and interviewed 3 other practices before I picked core pediatric therapy. I was looking for an individual plan of care for him and that’s what I got with kristy. The other practices in the area felt cookie cutter with a one size fits most approach. Really I am so thankful to have found this service for my son. I’m extra thankful for the professionalism and passion kristy has to extend her knowledge and to seek and obtain additional certifications that are evidenced based and specialized in her field of care.

My 2 month old daughter had a tongue tie, a head turn preference, and extreme tightness all throughout her body. Kristie was recommended to me by our lactation consultant, and I am so thankful for her knowledge and hard work with my daughter. Kristie helped resolve all these issues, and now my daughter is happy, not fussy, is still successfully breastfeeding at 7 months, and all of this was done without a tongue tie release. Trust the process, and lean into everything she is saying. Kristie is so wonderful and I talk to everyone I know about proper oral function and how it correlates with overall health and what it can do for children and adults. I have learned so much and will continue to use Kristie in the future with all my children!

Kristie is fantastic! I was having issues breastfeeding, some of it was me (really just having no idea what I was doing!) some of it was tension that my baby was having in her body. I am amazed at how knowledgeable Kristie is and helpful. If I had not gone to her I would have thrown in the towel and gone to formula, but she helped me exclusively breastfeed like I was hoping to. The work she did with my daughter helped in more than just breastfeeding. She was looser and happier after each appointment. My daughter is now 3 months old and eating like a champ and has been for months. She gaining weight correctly and I am in no pain when feeding her! All thanks to Kristie. If you do what she suggests, you and your little one will get the help you need! I highly highly highly recommend Kristie!

Kristie is exceptional! My wee one would not be where he is today without her knowledge and skills. He had cheek, lip and tongue ties that were affecting his feeding, along with some core issues. Through Ms. Kristie's caring instruction and therapy at home and in person, we were able to avoid surgery on the ties. With her help his issues with crawling were identified and addressed before they became a functional issue. My son is a happy, healthy, and thriving child that is now a mobile whirlwind of activity!

Kristie is amazing and our 5 yo daughter absolutely loves her! She goes above and beyond for her clients. She is patient and engaging. She has supported and encouraged us along our journey no matter what decisions we made. She worked hard to network with other providers we were going to need to use as well to help our daughter. She is amazing at connecting with others and really trying to put the best team together to help you and your family. We are so grateful to have crossed paths with her! Kristie is the best! We brought our baby in with a suspected lip or tongue tie. Kristie was patient and thoughtful with his care. She took time to really explain each exercise and the science behind what we were doing, so I could truly understand the goals and underlying methodology. She has given us so much confidence and peace of mind as new parents. I highly recommend seeing her!
