Concentra Urgent Care

Upon arriving the facility was dirty and had a bad smell. The receptionist greeted me by tossing the clipboard over the counter she was rude and disrespectful. I waited for 1hr 45mins to be seen. During that time the receptionist complained about the company and her coworkers loudly for the entire waiting are to hear. The gentleman who took my group back was respectful and very nice.

Front desk staff is awesome. Very well coordinated, organized, equipped to react to different dynamic situation effectively, not over friendly The staff that was responsible for administering the test was a disaster. I just worked with one lady who was high headed, unwilling to be pleasant and helpful. Didn’t feel like she wanted to be there. Didn’t show any sign that she cared and loves what she did. Very very transaction oriented and rude. What a sham!

I had an appointment for 11:00 . I was called in at 11:40. They had me waiting in a room until 12:30 . For the APRnN. To tell me “i apologize to have you waiting here for more than 30 minutes, i am the only one running around here”” even tho when she got close to me to listen to my breathing I can’t smell fresh onion breath from the sandwich they ordered while I was in the waiting room. SOME of the the front desk staff were complaining about a patient and they could be heard by patients waiting. Not very professional.

The place is a hot mess. I recommend going to a different location if possible. You will wait a very long time a get treated like a criminal for asking questions. I came last week 2 times around the times of 10-12pm to be told they aren’t taking any more walk ins the second time I came in I questioned why especially because I called each time before coming and they said they don’t stop taking walk ins until 3pm. The receptionist Angelica was so rude and had such a bad attitude because I asked a question. I then asked to speak to her manager who she said name was Andrea who she supposedly couldn’t find. I told her no worries that I would call, I called later that day to inform Andrea about my bad experience to be told she was in a meeting. I left a name and call back number to not receive a follow up. I decided to give this location another chance Today 11/6 I arrived at around 9:50am. I waited patiently I didn’t get serviced until 12 pm by the medical assistant and 12:47pm by the doctor. I also witnessed the medical receptionist Angelica argue back and forth with a patient because he asked about the wait time and if he could schedule an appointment. The medical assistant Melissa was great she was apologetic about the wait and assured me that she would try to get me seen ASAP she was also super professional and had a great attitude.I also explained to her a little bit about my bad experience and she was open ears. I also had a great experience with the provider Jen she was super nice and provided fast professional care. This place needs to work on having have better customer service.

So I have to start off by saying I'm leaving Concentra in East Hartford extremely happy Mayra who was my PTA was so kind and caring and guided me through all the steps I needed to complete while following up to make sure that I had all my concerns addressed and was feeling in good mental and physical status. She was so sweet and adorable and I really loved that. She smiled all the time. It made me feel like I was the only important person at the time. Dr. Bennett, who is the clinician and head director here was extremely kind and thoughtful and addressed all my concerns as well and listened to any questions I had promptly answering them with no hesitation. He also made it a point to come back and revisit with me during my PT and inform me of actions or steps he took regarding any concerns that I had initially. Melissa, the medical assistant who was my initial contact after entering the facility and visiting the front desk was so kind and sweet clarifying all the information and steps that would be taken while being human and having a great conversation and connection. Once my visits started everyone was so professional and amazing. I really had a great experience here.

Very Friendly and considerate staff working there. They know that we’re working too and do everything in their ability to help us get in and out with great service and attention to every personal matter that arises. It really makes you day better when you’re dealing with pleasant people who really do care.

I want to share my experience with Vivian at the East Hartford Concentrate. Sometimes people just do their jobs. But then you have people like Vivian who go above their job requirements to make sure I get service because people from my end made errors. Vivian made calls on my behalf when she could've easily sent me away. Thank you Vivian! You're much appreciated for what you did for me and I'm sure you do this on the daily basis and I want to make sure your supervisors are aware. Thank you, Elton.

Regardless of the fact that the Concentra in East Hartford is always packed and busy but more less very efficient and in control and the lovely staff who does the screenings and etc Thank you for your professional service
