After my first appt in March, (waited 2 weeks) Their office staff waited 2 MORE weeks to submit papers for pre-authorization for a cortizone shot and I would have to wait for the approval and another week or so for THAT appt. Dr. Malak did not ask me about pain or discomfort, was not interested in what I had to say; he did not offer any other treatment options...no ice or heat, no RX...nothing. I had been suffering with sciatica, bulging discs and an arthritic hip for over a MONTH. All he cared about was getting me a cortizone shot. He didn't care about me - he barely looked at me! Dr. Berkowitz, a UH ortho surgeon was no better. HE referred me here....why? I GOOGLED my issues and found all sort of good info using OTC HERBS, and OTC meds and collagen. I am transferring to UH PAIN MGMT for cortizone shots and seeing a different ortho Dr that specializes in spines. I have improved immmensely using my GOOGLE results. Don't waste your time here. It is a FOR PROFIT Privately owned business.

Have hated coming here since my doctor retired, new doctor and staff leave a lot to be desired! Doctor Malak is a rude narcissist.

This is the worse place to visit. I was in pain management in Sheffield and decided to go to one closer to me. Not only was I treated badly I was denied any treatment. The doctor asked why I was there and I let him know. I let him know all my pain issues and he was very rude to me and told me again why are you here? So I let him know that I was in pain management and Sheffield and I would do follow-ups to get my medication. He was rude to me and told me well it doesn't necessarily mean I will give you any medication. I let him know that I have been on this medication for 16 years and he basically told me he wasn't going to waste his time or my time so he got up and basically walked out. I have never been treated so badly. If you're in pain management do not go there.

I’ve been in pain management for almost 20 years. I started my pain management journey with a kind and compassionate doctor at the Cleveland Clinic. Unfortunately, he moved out of state and the doctor that I had to go to after him was pretty much worthless. He didn’t listen, I never saw him and only saw his nurse, and he refused to give me anything that would work to treat my pain so I suffered for years. I’ve been with Dr. Shah for about 4 years now and he is amazing! He and his staff are kind, compassionate and great listeners…everything a pain management office should be. I’ve never been made to feel like a drug seeker and he’s always been willing to try a variety of treatments with me until we found something that works. I have recommended many friends to his office and they have always been pleased. If you are looking for a great pain management doctor I absolutely recommend Dr. Shah!

These other posts are planted.I beg of you....please, don't waste your time & money on this place. Dr. McQuack (milak) is nothing more than a money hungry greedy sadist. What kind of Dr. doesn't even notice that you've lost over 40 pounds since you've seen him? The staff could care less about you as well. These other posts are totally planted. Don't believe me...then go waste your time &money then you'll see.

Doctors are very busy but are generally helpful. Office staff is the issue at Comprehensive Pain Management. They will not return your call, regardless of severity. Look elsewhere until staffing is retrained here.

Good doctor that I have been seeing for almost twenty years. Everything has been fine and my pain had always been managed. Until recently. Six months ago my pain medication was stopped and I was prescribed medication that did nothing for my pain. I have never abused my meds, never ran out early, always had a few extra at the end of every month. Sometimes I didn't even need a refill. I only used it when I couldn't take the pain any longer. Now I'm in pain and have nothing to help me. Only medication that does nothing. I have tried almost a dozen with no relief. I get only two to three hours of sleep in twenty-four hours. I'm miserable. I'm near suicidal. All because of those who choose to not follow directions of their doctors and abuse their meds. I'm punished because of the actions of junkies and addicts. This is what I get for always following my doctor's orders and following my prescriptions carefully. I'm not sure how much longer I can do this. My quality of life is gone. Pain and depression is all I know now.
