The pediatrician doesn’t ever look at the file for the kids and starts blabbering they need so and so vaccines without confirm on the computer what is required. Incredibly reckless. Told my 1 year son he needs 3 flu vaccines???🤔🤔 to a 1 year old

I really don't comprehend why this clinic receives negative reviews. My personal experiences here have been consistently positive, with an exceptional attention to detail and a genuinely compassionate staff. In particular, I am fortunate to have a practitioner named Thompson who is absolutely incredible. He possesses a great sense of humor, is kind-hearted, and truly cares about his patients. I'm truly puzzled as to why some individuals are encountering issues with this clinic. I am just an ordinary person, yet I have been receiving exceptional professionalism and genuine care. It is confusing why others are not experiencing the same level of service. Nonetheless, I can only speak for myself, and I am more than satisfied with the exceptional care I receive from the highly professional staff at CCHC.

The doctors are great. Front desk girls are always trying to help.I’m wondering why people will give a 1 star.

-10 Stars if there was an option. Unless you are dying and they can visually see that, don’t come here, although even in that situation they’d probably be clueless. They have a hard time referring people or even wanting to pinpoint symptoms. Asking for a referral to a Specialist or Bloodwork, is like asking for a Million Dollars. I truly believe it’s laziness and just not wanting to be thorough. Remember, this isn’t a private practice, it’s more of a business with Drs as Staff. The front staff seems like they hate their miserable job, or at least the one that sits in the middle, slouched down in her chair like she can’t be bothered. Super Rude and no Customer Service at all. Then you have the MA with selective hearing. RUDE! CCHC has grown so much in the last 14 years and it’s become a place where $$$ is more important than the care they give their patients. No one should have to push Drs to figure out why they are experiencing certain symptoms. This is why we seek out a Drs help and opinion. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME! You will leave with high blood pressure from the frustration of trying to figure out why the DR lacks empathy towards patients health and concerns.

Do not trust the five star reviews that are very short. I have similar experiences with every single person here who gave 1 star. My appointment was today on April 19th, 2023 at 3:45 pm with Nurse Practitioner Christine Maroney. During the appointment, I requested a yearly Pap-Smear and refill of my oral contraceptives, as well as a referral to a dermatologist for skin problems. However, Ms. Maroney refused to provide me with the care I needed. She dismissed my concerns about my previous abnormal Pap results and refused to perform a Pap smear. Her unprofessional and dismissive attitude was exemplified when I asked about a skin rash I’ve been having and she told me to use Aquaphor and Neosporin, which provided no help. Ms. Maroney's bedside manner was curt, rude, and condescending. She did not take the time to listen to my concerns and instead told me to "exit where the door is." I was appalled by her behavior and lack of empathy towards me as a patient. This is just one of the many incidents. I’m too tired to write all of them but please don’t go to this clinic if you have very serious health issues.

I can confirm the reports of others who have reviewed here—Dr. Jenny Wang was wonderful, but she left the office after her maternity leave and the service ever since has been some of the horrendous from a PCP I've ever encountered. I saw Dr. Wang once for my onboarding appointment and was never able to speak to her again; I was sloppily handed off without warning or communication to Dr. Koupalian, who apparently never read my file because she repeatedly misgendered me and expressed zero knowledge of my medical history. I had several major medical crises occur over the year I was assigned to this clinic, and the office managed to butcher every single one. In the fall of 2021, I had a heart issue that the cardiologist I saw said merited a pacemaker, but that required a second opinion from an electrophysiologist. I requested the referral from CCHC immediately, but it took FOUR MONTHS for me to receive it after repeatedly calling, being referred to the wrong doctor, being told the request had never been submitted, and having every person I spoke to exhibit absolute cluelessness as to why I hadn't gotten care yet. In the spring of 2022, I was having severe joint pain in various parts of my body and needed to have several X-rays done. I clearly outlined the exams I needed to this clinic and they gave me the name of a place I could go that was in my medical group and thus didn't require an authorization. This resulted in a game of phone tag because my version of Medicaid required authorization for X-rays anyway, and despite repeatedly telling CCHC that I could not take a direct referral from them, they provided me the same direct referral papers multiple times in a row. They also referred me to several different places that did not actually accept my insurance , and I wasted weeks driving around trying to get X-rays only to be turned away each time. In the fall of 2022, I began having severe digestive issues accompanied by dizziness, chronic nausea and fatigue, weight loss, nutritional deficiencies, and many other concerning symptoms. I called my doctor to get referrals for the specialists I needed to see, and in addition to having bloodwork done, described my complete list of symptoms which are very clearly indicative of an autoimmune disease. I requested a GI referral and a second opinion referral to a rheumatologist. When I asked, Dr. Koupalian told me that she didn't think it was autoimmune and referred me to a hematologist. Weeks and weeks go by and my symptoms get progressively worse, so far as to almost disable me and cause me to miss work, and despite calling REPEATEDLY, I cannot seem to get this clinic to give me my GI referral. I finally called it quits, got myself assigned to a new PCP, and went to Urgent Care, and in 4 hours received more care from them than I had received in a year with this office. TLDR; CCHC Sunland (and based on my experience, their other branches as well) is staffed by incompetent, disinterested people who don't care about your well-being and will actively put your health at risk. Avoid at all costs.

Dr Wang is spectacular! She does such a thorough exam and is very attentive to the needs and concerns of her patients. The facility in Sunland is very clean and well-maintained. The only suggestion I have for the office manager is a purse hook or small table near the scale so patients can set down their belongings while getting weighed. It feels a bit awkward to have to hand the assistant your purse. Overall, a great experience.

Only got to see Dr. Wang once before she left on maternity leave. That's fine and all and she seemed nice when I met her, but the (lack) of care I've had since is just ridiculous. I've been on antidepressants for years now and I was only able to get one prescription with zero refills when I was forced by my insurance to switch to Dr. Wang's office. So when I inevitably ran out and the pharmacy couldn't get a hold of the doctor to renew it, I was forced to make a telehealth appointment with a fill in doc. This doctor was reluctant to give me my meds, but eventually did. She told me I shouldn't have been on them for "this long", and said that before they'll give me another refill, I have to come in to the office for it because they won't refill unless they see me. I never had this problem with my previous doctor. I've now been without meds entirely for a little over a month and my depression and anxiety is in full swing. I haven't felt this awful in years. I've been trying to find a psychiatrist (and a new therapist as my last one recently stopped accepting my insurance) to get my meds from instead, but I've had no luck in contacting one that will see me. As far as I know, people are supposed to take antidepressants for as long as they need them. There should be no "cut-off" for them. Hearing that really rubbed me the wrong way and made me distrust the entire health center. I don't appreciate being treated like an addict just because my brain relies on an SSRI to function. It's ridiculous. I shouldn't be forced to go to the office to get a medication I've been taking for years without incident.
