First, let me start by saying my wife almost died in the hospital and was in the hospital 55 straight days. That’s going to set the stage for my review. Coming to Community north rehab hospital was not an inviting experience to begin with. We knew it was going to be a lot of work, necessary work, but nonetheless hard. This all changed the minute we walked in the door to get into our room and admitted. The first nurse that we encountered was Holly. Holly is the epitome of a five star nurse. She always smiles. She’s always there for you and she always has your best interest at heart. She answered all of her questions, make sure Sally was comfortable, and did everything humanly possible to make her stay enjoyable. PT, OT, and Speech were a challenge to behold. We started with our PT effort the first day and of course Sally was not open to that whole experience. Should been in the hospital for numerous days have been in ICU for over 3 1/2 weeks and was not in the mood to exercise muscles that had atrophy for several weeks. Kevin and Wayne should also be singled out for their extraordinary effort to make Sally comfortable and make sure she got the best care possible. They both went above and beyond and their efforts truly made a difference. A few days before we were discharged, Sally had an event that requires us to go to the emergency center. Our nurse at the time was Becky and the shift supervisor Ron with Kathy. Blood had to be drawn immediately, and Kathy took charge of that because she had such experience at finding hard to hit veins. She’s in walked or had it delivered. I’m not really sure the blood across the street so Sally didn’t have to wait hours to get the results. Becky took all the necessary information, got the ambulance drivers on site, and insured that we were out the door in a minimum amount of time. I really feel that these two individuals cut our time over there by several hours because of their extraordinary efforts. The rehab Group as a whole was exceptional. The ones that I single out is just because I can remember their names easily was Angela who gave Sally bath on numerous occasions and went out of her way to make sure Sally had all the skills necessary to get her acclimated back to her normal life. She was a pleasure to work with always pleasant and highly professional. She was one of Sally’s favorites. As for PT itself, I would say that that was Sally’s High Point of the rehab process. but to be honest, it was one of the more taxing for her. She did not want to do it, but Allie was a rock and made sure that we moved forward with the rehab process, that Sally understood the importance of the rehab, and then encouraged her to make the most out of the situation. Ali and Angela got Sally to appoint that we never thought possible. When Sally came in, she thought she would never walk again. As I dictate this, Sally is in the swimming pool in her bathing suit enjoying life. We still have a long ways to go, but thanks to Community north rehab hospital , we are well on our way . Thank you to everyone at the hospital. My review and that of Sally’s would be higher than a five star if you had that possible thank you for your time energy and efforts. Best of luck with new patients.

One week since my 88 yo Aunt released from 8 day rehab stay at Community North Rehab, Clearvista Rd location. Living out of State, I was troubled about her care following a mild stroke. Thankfully, she was blessed to have been admitted here for intensive Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapy. I commend ALL the wonderful staff -- doctors, nurses techs, cafeteria, front desk, and especially Therapists for their professional expertise and caring spirit. Huge thanks to Robin, her Case Manager, for your efficiency and promptness. Although alone for most of her stay, she assured me everything was great, so I didn't have to rush as she was well taken of. She left this facility in great shape, thanks to the therapies she received, and is well on her way to recovery.

Great Service! My sister was at this facility for about two weeks, and got the best of care. Kudos to Wendy the case manager! She went above and beyond to make sure my sister got the treatments she needed while there and also helping to fine a facility she would be comfortable in for further treatments. Thanks so much for all you did!

Overall just a wonderful experience. The cafeteria food is good. Wonderful staff and excellent therapy.Everyone is very attentive, fun and kind. Therapist were excellent as the therapy can be intense. They understood and were sensitive to personal needs as far as rest/ slowing down. They DO push you , but to the good points. The focus of all employees is safety and I felt very safe being here. Very impressed with the efficiency of reporting and communication among the departments to keep everyone in my care team updated. I think it would be nice to let patients know what items they have available for personal care. Personal comfort items are allowed like pillows, blankets etc.I. did find out that most personal care items should be brought from home. The dining area is a great setting to chit chat with each other and their situations and even offer a little encouragement to each other in their journey. When I first got here I found myself without proper clothing and I had to wait until the next day for family to bring them in, and staff were quick to provide emergency clothing for me until I could get my own from home. I think this would be a good fundraising/ donation idea.

My close friend’s Mom was quite ill a couple years ago and came here for rehab. I frequently visited, the care was superb, and I was so impressed. The nurses, therapists, and doctor treated her like she was their own family. So I felt so reassured when my Father-in-Law came here for his rehab. Unfortunately, this rehab hospital is not the same anymore. The therapists are still good, but there has been a lot of turnover otherwise, and apparently they don’t have the same values as before. We are very disappointed and wish he could have been discharged feeling like he was heard and had his needs addressed.
