My mom is currently there and I am having mixed ratings. On some hand she is getting the help with rehab . But in basic care not so much. She can't go to the rest room herself and is dependent on someone to help her to the restroom. The staff seem to be helpful but the time it takes to get someone down thereto is board line un

Do not send your family here. This place is a joke. This is not a rehabilitation place. This is for people who do not want to have to deal with their elderly parents. My dad was brought here to help him learn how to walk again. That was a joke! Been here 1 day, he gets manhandled and rough by the overnight staff. He has physical therapy once and guess what.. they don't work the weekends. So he will lay in his bed for the entire weekend before he will have any therapy. They have one chair in the rooms, because they don't want families staying for long visits. He was laying in his bed with no clothes on except a diaper because they did not think he had clothes here. Heaven forbid they actually look in his drawers that he has. This place is an absolute joke. I do not see how they are still open. I truly feel sorry for all of these patients in here.

My mom is staying here to get well enough to come home after having back surgery. The staff has been very helpful and communicates with me often. The decor is a little dated however it’s still nice. I would suggest this place to anyone.

Most of the staff are great… the wound care, on the other hand is a bad joke!!! 2 “sore” spots have become open oozing wounds on my husband since they were disregarded. The night shift don’t think twice about emotional abuse.

Maybe the one star person is simply bitter and this was a way to release their frustrations. CHR is a great place that cares about the residents, families and employees. Most of them have been there near when the building opened. We love what we do. Being one of the few 5 star facilities in Alabama speaks for itself.

A family member stayed there recently and it was a very good experience!! The staff were amazing and the rehab went well! We could not have asked for anything more!! I’d recommend the facility to everyone!!

Great staff who take great care of their residents. It takes a special person to do what they do everyday!! Your hard work, dedication, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

They hire people there who mistreat the residents and they run off the good employees.
