Yippee! Score! As a follow up to spinal injection route, I moved on with physical therapy. I was a bit pessimistic given that the treatment is for arthritis and I figured that's irreversible. I shopped for a bit and fortunately, my first choice in Belmar never followed up to my doctor's referral or my calls. The opposite was true when I contacted CO Pain Care PT. Ashley took my info, set me up and I had an appointment with Dr. Michael Leven all with the first call. I'm REALLY impressed with Dr. Leven. He reminds me a bit of a sports coach with his enthusiasm and determination matched with the knowledge and skills of a doctor. He is clearly not going to be satisfied with a treatment session until I acknowledge that I have work to do that I feel convinced can help. I have found the same with Dr. Colleen Seymour, who also has cupping in her tool box. In one treatment session, I was truly amazed at the way these two pros seamlessly worked help each other with me and another patient, it was great teamwork. Finally, I really appreciate the homework instructions, complete with pictures that I take away with me. Any beliefs that I held about myself being a difficult customer have been dissolved. The shared therapeutic focus of this practice is the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). I first heard of this from Dr. Gesquire at Peak Anesthesia and Pain Management, who is usually more into invasive medical interventions and treatment. HIs overall treatment plan of delivering steroidal pain relief to facilitate physical therapy to avoid further invasive treatment is working out as hoped. I WANT to show up for this treatment and I now have visions of an amazing restoration of movement functions. (I am also referring Dr. G to CPC for his patients that could benefit from CPC.) All in all, I highly and completely recommend this practice without any reservations whatsoever!

Mike is awesome, He really pays attention to the specific problems spots of my wrist and elbow each visit. All the exercises and treatment have been extremely helpful with not only my wrist and elbow, but also my overall posture and strength. He's great at explaining the purpose of each exercise and how it will help with your problems. Colleen is wonderful as well! I had one visit only with her and appreciated her asking me at the end if there was anything I was struggling with so far and how I felt overall with my appointments early on in my treatment. They both really care about their patients and have great energy. Seeing a ton of results with healing and regaining strength each week :)

My daughter had a stroke at age 32. Though she made an excellent recovery, she still suffered from residual effects. Fast forward 14 years; with the help from Mike Levin, her balance & coordination have improved immensely. She used to fall at least once a week as a result of the residual effects. Through his help, she rarely falls now. This would not have been possible without Mike’s outstanding program. He listened to what she needed & worked extensively on addressing exactly what she required. Can’t sing Mike’s praises high enough. He will be greatly missed.

Michael Levin is such a great physical therapist and a wonderful person! He is so knowledgeable, caring and thoughtful. He always works with my abilities and has helped me to get so much stronger. I'm so grateful for him! It's incredible how much better I have got with his care and assistance. The excercises he gives me are great and so helpful. He's the best!

Dr Mike Levin is UNREAL ! I have Scoliosis and Lumbar spinal Stenosis. I came to Dr Levin in March 2022 after 3 months of physical therapy and loosing about 20 pounds (to help my situation). So, while I was starting my treatment with Dr Levin, I was also getting ready to get a micro-discectomy done, since I was still dependent on neural pain meds for my symptoms. He told me back then, he wouldn’t let me get a surgery (which I thought was not possible and was just exaggeration from him), since I had already tried everything I could. I kept working on getting fitter, and Dr Levin kept fixing my hurdles on the way and by June 2022, almost 50 pounds down from my original size (XXL) in Feb 2022 to size (M/S), I slowly phased out my pain meds, and I am “off the list for a need of surgery” at my surgeon’s hospital. Now, I lift weights, goto hikes, do yoga, etc and I am in the best shape of my life and Dr Levin, has a very important role to play in that. You might have your doubts about him during your initial sessions, as to whether he would be able to pull you out of a medical mess, because he is usually very relaxed and goofy with his patients, but trust me, he will ! I underestimated him in the beginning before I started noticing things working. Dr Levin played a major role in getting my life back, and pushed me not just to be pain-free but to keep getting fitter. PS: he would also make an amazing personal trainer ! Now, if I have any slight symptoms (ones in a blue moon), I am usually able to fix things myself, thanks to Dr Levin who also taught me, how to fix basic symptoms and start getting independent about it. Also, the staff at the front desk, Nicole, Ritchie, etc at the lakewood office are very helpful and go the extra mile to make sure they do everything they can to get you your desired appointment.

Michael Levin, DPT is the therapist I have worked with most often and he is a consummate professional. I would highly recommend him without the slightest hesitation. You are always made to feel welcome at this office by sweet and lovely Ashley at the front desk. She helps keep this old lady’s appointments straight with compassion and patience and is greatly appreciated. Most importantly they deliver results, when I walk in with a great deal of pain, I leave with relief. Michael seems to always figure out just what to do to bring relief. I truly appreciate what they have done for me at this place of healing!

I moved to Lakewood in January and needed to find a new physical therapist. After researching several different providers in the area, I decided to schedule an appointment at Colorado Pain Care Physical Therapy with Michael Levin. I have been coming to this office ever since, and I have nothing but good things to say about the facility and staff! I also see Colleen Seymour now and would recommend her and Michael to my family and friends. Both providers make me feel welcome, listen to my concerns, and provide excellent care. Choosing a PT is a big decision, but you can’t go wrong here.

Highly recommend to anyone experiencing pain and loss of mobility! Michael and Colleen are so knowledgeable about the body! I am learning how to relieve the unbearable tension and pain I was feeling due to my repetitive motion duties at work. I felt immediate relief from my first visit! I’ve been telling everyone who will listen that they need to come here!
