Coastal Orthopedics - West Bradenton Physical Therapy

Tomorrow will be six weeks since my knee replacement. Never having been a fan of physical therapy, I dreaded doing this three days a week. From the moment that Gabe calls my name to the moment I walk out I’m treated with care and respect. I was fortunate to have Chris throughout my therapy and he’s the best!! He addresses any issues I have and encourages my ‘over-achiever’ mentality. Today is my final session, and I’ve hit all the milestones Dr. Valadie expected. I 100% attribute my success to the therapy team, and Chris in particular.

I just called and the lady who answered the phone Demeata or something like that, was rude, seemed snappy like she had a way of responding to all my questions that made me feel like I would never want to go here, or refer anyone there. She even did the fake laugh thing. If you don't want to promote the place you work in a positive way, find something new to do! I am sure if she acts like this, they probably all do.....

Hard enough as it is to talk to someone, now i get hung up on in the middle of asking a question by Jessica , if that’s even her real name.Then you call back there’s ALWAYS a high call volume. Finally i get back on phone with her and she has the rudest tone and responses. I ask for a supervisor, she just has to know the reason why, refused to tell me her supervisor’s name, WOULD NOT EVEN LET ME SPEAK AS SHE KEPT SPEAKING OVER ME , THEN HUNG UP AGAIN!! I

Kevin Murdoch at Coastal Orthopedics is the absolute best clinic manager! He gives his patients individualized attention and treatment. He has been working with my daughter for almost 5 months to rehab a shoulder injury. He listens to the her and he has a vast depth of knowledge of sports injuries and rehab. His commitment to my daughter’s physical and psychological recovery and long term wellness is unmatched!! We are so lucky to have him as part of her team!

Excellent care here. Had my knees replaced all well. Also had some other things done. Also my mother and a few friends have had also their knees done here. So it's a good place to go for your knees. And other things.

In early December of 2020, I fell and broke my kneecap. After surgery and almost two weeks in hospital I was sent to PT. Due to my injury being a long recovery period as I was unable to bend the knee for 3 months until kneecap was fully healed. I had to wear a brace and went from a wheelchair to walker and eventually a cane. I also had to sit with leg straight out in backseat when I went to doctor or PT. So glad Leanne Nutter was my PT. Under her guidance and the therapy she created for my injury, I was able to begin the long recovery process. After being in a brace .. unable to bend knee for 3 months ,the doctor gave the ok to begin the slow incremental bending of the knee which was immobile for so long! I am forever grateful to Leanne for her dedication to get my range of motion back. She is competent, knowledgeable and was genuinely caring. She answered all my questions and gave me home exercise print outs and made suggestions as to how and when I would be able to ride in front seat of car, etc and helped me meet or surpass my recovery goals. We left Florida the end of April and although it has now been 6 months since my fall I feel like I am finally getting back to normal. Thank you to Coastal Orthopedics and especially to Leanne Nutter for my recovery journey!

I been there a month, i had to tell them to slow down and they did, now they are on track. Remember your in your body, they dont what your feeling and there not mind readers, but they do a great job working with them. I was on Fentanyl a month ago, now about 1/2 were i was on pain scale. Im happy with Dr Sundberg my spine surgeon, did a great job, Im in therapy because someone hit my car and totaled it" that threw me in pain through the roof! I never wait longer then 5 mins!

Melanie Gurney, my PTA at Coastal Orthopedics in West Bradenton, kept me encouraged and on task throughout my recovery from knee replacement surgery! I credit her with my quick return to “normal”!
