Upon scheduling I was told by reception that they accepted care credit. Now that I have over $1000 in medical bills for unnecessary tests, I find out they do not accept care credit and have just been billing me instead of running the card. They ordered a TON of unnecessary tests, and now I'm a perfectly healthy mom in medical debt right before Christmas with no way to pay. Providers are great, but the receptionists aren't very informed or friendly and they are not up front about costs. I definitely feel like the practice is more for profit rather than for care.

I had a massage with Angela and she was AMAZING!! She listened to me and made the massage such a great experience. I feel like a whole new woman and I can’t wait to go back for another massage. By far the best one I’ve ever had!

Went in to get a DOT physical, all went well. Went to get my CDL and Secretary of State won’t issue it because the doctor didn’t put the date he signed in on the form. Called them, explained what happened, and the receptionist scheduled me an appointment with a different doctor the next day. That morning I got a call from a nurse saying I didn’t need an appointment and that I could just go in and they would fix it. So I go in, give them the paperwork, sit and wait, and they come out and say oh sorry the doctor isn’t back in for 4 days so there’s nothing we can do until then. So not only am I wasting time driving back to St. John’s twice, but it’s holding up being able to get my CDL and apply for jobs for nearly a week. I did not think to double check the work of both a doctor AND a nurse to make sure they did their own jobs correctly.

After a rough stay in UM West Hospital lasting more than a week prior to my last visit in late March 2024, I was in the Carson City clinic for a post surgical appointment that never took place but for which my insurance, Medicare and my copay of $20 was charged. I told them I'd pay the $20 copay for the visit on my way out to both the receptioist and the belligerent doctor. This was all over a $20 copay! I told my driver that we would leave as the doctor was loudly threatening to throw me out of his practice with the doors open, his staff and even other patients within earshot! I have had several instances with them at the Carson City clinic in the past where I felt like I was both ignored and lecturd to by this provider. As a senior citizen on a Medicare Advantage plan, I feel that I was harassed by this doctor given my condition at that time as he was loudly speaking at, and not with me. We left and that day I was told not to come back!? I wasn't loud, I was full of painkillers at the time and ornery, I admit. I never knew it said in a doctor's oath to demand payment for care (thatI never received and was billed for. If this is an example of this clinical health care, won't ever return nor will I recommend patients to this money driven practice. A doctor is a servant to patients not a bill collector!!! I did report Dr. Ferguson's behavior to the Syate of Michigan but I expect nothing to be done. Only in America and especially in rural America is this kind of doctor's behavior tolerated! I paid for that visit and a remaining balance but I think my insurance company and myself should be reimbursed for this rogue billing@

Always a good experience at the St Johns location! Dr. Thelen was recommended by 4 family members when we relocated here, and we've been very happy with CCMC, including PT (John is great!), Wellness (Angela is a wonderful masseuse), and Urgent Care (Alex is knowledgeable and caring).

I just had an appointment and the nurse Amber was very polite. She made it very easy. I had to get two shots and I wasn’t worried at all.

Michele did my injection. Quick and painless. Very pleasant and great to work with! Definitely recommend!
