Words cannot express the appreciation I have for Angela, the owner of Children Matter and my sons speech pathologist. We were at a plateau with my sons speech. Angela provided effective suggestions and made changes to his care plan that worked wonders! She is highly skilled and cares deeply for her clients. My son was resistant to speech therapy but Angela’s approach is comforting and tailored to his needs. The list goes on. I’ll be forever grateful for her hard work and dedication while working with my son.

I absolutely love Angela. From the moment of my son meeting her, he just gravitated towards her. With in the first 5 min of meeting my son she knew he had some moth/muscle issues going on that prevented him from pronouncing his works. I also had the pleasure of working with Amanda as well. She was amazing too! She educated me of lip tie didn't even know that was a thing. Will definitely recommend anyone seeing them. They do amazing work and are both so patient with the difficult situations that come up in therapy. My son wouldn't be where he is today without the help of these ladies!! So thankful for you!!!

Took forever to get in to this place but I wrote it off to the pandemic and everything being slower. Ended up getting in with a speech therapist that a friend recommended who was terrific! My daughter made amazing progress in such a short time. However, her therapist quit suddenly giving us one week notice. We never got placed with another therapist and now, five weeks later I’m still waiting to get in after calling three times. I’ve left one message and spoken to the office manager twice. I turned down other speech therapy places (after being on their waitlist) because we were happy with the therapist we were working with. Now my daughter is stuck without any help going into kindergarten. I’m frustrated and disappointed to say the least. I know businesses are short staffed and overwhelmed but my daughter was a patient there for a few months so I’m disappointed that they didn’t find the time or priority to put her with another therapist. Update: the day I wrote this review they called and left a message getting my daughter in with another speech therapist! I’m hoping she’s as good as the last therapist we had but I upped their stars because they did finally call and my daughter did make quick progress with the last speech therapist she had! I just wish it hadn’t taken 5 weeks! I’ll hopefully be back to give them 4-5 stars if this therapist is good!

Words fail me (but the workers here may be able to help with words 😀)on how much we enjoyed the assistance from our SLP from Children Matter. Our son Jamie got connected to Erika LaForest for Speech Language Pathology assistance from the Early Intervention program in Colorado. Our son was born premature and was struggling with pragmatic language and communicating his needs. Erika connected so beautifully with our son - he would run to see her and she always met him at his level. She was flexible, available and gave incredible feedback on how to make improvements in his speech skills. She was also just so kind and compassionate with him. She attended his daycare at times and provided feedback on some of his difficulties at daycare. Our son made great progress and is now starting preschool and has really hit the ground running because of her help. It is hard to summarize all the ways we have appreciated her input and skill being a part of his growth. Thank you!

The facilities themselves are nice, and I'm sure they have wonderful therapists, but I ended up leaving after 3 appointments because they pulled a bait and switch with our therapy. I took my daughter in for a food therapy evaluation. The appointment went fine, and they told us what the regular therapy sessions would look like. I showed up with some food the next time, fully expecting a licensed food therapist, but instead we got a general OT. The therapist we were assigned was a nice guy, but had absolutely no food therapy training. We went to 3 sessions, assuming the therapist had some idea of what he was doing and would eventually help us. When I realized he didn't, we found someone who did, at a different office. I'm sure they're a great place for families with different needs, but I was very disappointed by the switch.

Ms. Emma at children matter is amazing. She agreed to help my son despite him being a bit younger than recommended age but with his persistence and her guidance and patience his bad speech issue dissolved completely before the end of kindergarten. She is articulate, patient, skillful and knowledgeable in the field and can make your child succeed if they're so willing. We're forever indebted to her great work

Absolutely love this office. My son sees speech therapists and occupational therapists here. Everyone is so great with him, and so friendly. Everyone from the receptionist to the billing dept are absolutely fabulous. My son has learned so much and has began speaking more than I could have ever imagined in such a short period of time. Highly recommended these offices.
