CHI St. Vincent Sherwood Rehabilitation Hospital - a partner of Encompass Health

I would recommend CHI Sherwood Rehab. to any one needing physical therapy and or occupational therapy. The Therapists work very hard, to get you ready to be able to transition home with confidence and more tools to care for yourself. Great amenities to be able to achieve that. Nurses are compassionate, and ready to answer your questions. Doctors here to make sure you stay in good health. Our case worker took care of all the discharge arrangements so we didn't have any worries. House cleaning kept everything clean and had a great personality.

Everyone here is so professional and caring. The doctors come to see you daily to see if you need anything and will make changes to help you with your recovery. The staff will celebrate with you when you meet your goals, no matter how small you may think they are and it's so encouraging. The staff speaks to you very kindly and you feel comfortable sharing all of your concerns with them. The facility is very clean and that's very important to me. Everyone that I worked with felt like a family member and I will be recommending this rehabilitation center to everyone in my family and every group that I belong to.

My 86 yr.old mom was here for two weeks with a fractured pelvis. She went in not being able to walk. She left there walking with a walker. Stronger then she has been for the last 3 years. The staff was amazing. I have 0 complaints. I will forever be grateful for everyone that helped care for her. Thank you so much St. Vincent Rehab. All of you will forever have a special place in our heart.

The rehab facility of st. Vincents was and is a great place. The staff were awesome! To say the least. The hospital on the other hand meaning the surgeon that handled my mother's surgery removing a mass from her brain. Dr. Abuelem gave a false report to the family. He should have had an oncologist check my mother before attempting any procedure. Now he say the opposite of what he told the family. He says it's cancer and fast growing. So that being said I'll be visiting him along with a malpractice law suit. And my mother will be going to UAMS. I apologize if I have offended anyone. I call it like it is. Will be needing a referral so either myself or our lawyer can pick it up. Sincerely me!

My excitement for recovery was off the charts. I meet the team that would be working with, and everyone was very kind and considerate, always asking if I needed anything. The Doctor was easily to understand and made me feel comfortable. Neverending ending encouragement my I believe in power of prayer and love for one another. I felt all of that and Moore. My choice on original menu or and extra to my meals was really tasty and good. If! I'm going to complain about anything it's. I couldn't take showers as often as I wanted to. I was told not to get my head wet. That's possible why. Spong bath wood of been fine my me, but wasn't offended. So get to my therapy today now that I'm home is been a tough no falls and accidents to report so that's really good. Still waiting for thee rest to start. I would in a New York HB return in second if In any pain or discomfort. The room at very clean and comfortable all my nursing staff was very helpful and never went without anything. Posting on behalf of my father. He received ok service. The staff was very friendly. I wish they could have taken him to the bathroom more as everytime I picked up clothes, they reeked of urine. His case manager gets a 1 star. She didn’t call until one day before discharge (because I requested it) making it a huge inconvenience. She said she trusted that my dad relayed the correct information ( he was a stroke rehabilitation patient and his mental is very confused from it). They also set him up for home therapy but I have yet to receive a call or visit from the home health agency. I have called the case manager 4 times so far and left messages with no avail. I have also contacted the home health agency so my dad has went a week without any physical, occupational, or speech therapy. Staff was friendly, care was ok, discharge and communication terrible.

Ten days of rehab and general recouping from major back surgery. I could barely stand up when I got out of the hospital. In ten days, I could walk a reasonable distance, climb steps, and get in and out of bed unassisted. The entire staff were very helpful with all my needs. I couldn't be more pleased with and more thankful for the support I received.

This was my second visit here. I encountered some good people. The wound care treatment that I received was much better than I could ever imagine. I have a few problems with a few things but once I brought it to the attention of the administration it was quickly corrected. If have a wound that needs to be treated there is no one more that I would recommend. You will get plenty of therapy and exercise. There were some things I had issues with. The treatment that I received regarding my primary medical need was set up to none.
