One of the best decisions I ever made was moving my mom to Chestelm Health and Rehabilitation Center. Everyone at the Chestelm is dedicated to providing expert care and kindness to everyone. Yesterday, my family and I attended a summer picnic on the grounds for residents and families. It was all hands on deck by the staff to make sure everyone had fun. Everyone from the administrator on down ran around making sure everyone had enough to eat and was having a good time. Kudos to everyone at Chestelm for creating a wonderful experience for us.

I was recently living at Chestelm Nursing Home for approx. 2 weeks. I found Chestelm to be an excellent facility. I had to share a restroom with a fellow who had leg problems so he didn’t use the restroom very much. The thing I liked best about Chestelm was that when I pressed the button for a hand to help or just someone to be close when I had to use the restroom during the night. The food was decent so I was never hungry. I could have asked for extra food if I wanted but didn’t. To me, Chestelm was a five star facility. They brought me for therapy everyday. I thank all the people who work there for their service.

Chestelm is the ideal location to send your loved one for their short- and long-term care. They are filled with caring, competent staff who go above and beyond every day. In the past, I have had horrific experiences with other nursing facilities who claimed to care for my mother while healing from injuries, however "care" was more akin to neglect. To avoid repeating this situation, I took the time to research and saw the many positive reviews that Chestelm has received. Well, I can concur that these are more than well deserved. From the extra care taken by the admissions staff to find my mom a bed, to the outstanding care that she has received while in short-term rehab, to the many efforts they have made to keep her healthy, safe, and happy, I can verify that Chestelm ranks above them all. The care has taken into account my mother's special needs, the facilities are impeccable, and the establishment pays as much attention to mental health by offering activities, entertainment, and the dignity of choosing your own meal, as it does to the physical. This is a rare combination of service that honors patient rights and addresses their specific needs. I feel so lucky to have found Chestelm. Finally, in my many fights with the insurance company to keep my mother in Chestelm's care while on her healing journey, the staff support has been outstanding! Through several rounds of appeals, support has come from all directions - whether it is admissions, the social workers, the PT/OT department, the Medical Director, the medical assistants, the receptionists, and more - the Chestelm staff goes above and beyond to support families struggling against the evils of insurance. I hope that they know that they make a difference in people's lives. That their care extends beyond the patient to reduce the stress that families face and allow us some peace of mind. Services such as these are a rarity in the medical community. All I can offer is my deep gratitude. Thank you.

One bad (one star, by Julie Ciucias) review was not clear. Looks like most if not all other reviews are quite positive. My friend started there about 1 week ago. Food (dinner) was not bad. The lounge chair looked like it needed cleaning as well as the floor.

I had the opportunity to visit this nursing facility because I filled a shift for them through an agency , i must say, I was thoroughly impressed I waited all day to write this review! I visit a lotttt of places and the quality of care provided to the residents here was nothing short of excellent. The staff members were not only professional but also incredibly pleasant and attentive to the needs of the residents. The facility itself was clean housekeepers went out their way to make sure things were well put creating a comfortable and home-like environment. It is evident that the well-being and happiness of the residents are the staffs top priority as the patients seemed genuinely content and well cared for. Chestelm left a lasting impression and I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of quality long term care or sub acute rehab.

My mother-in-law has been in their care for over a year now. She has received nothing but the best care. They work with her every day and get her involved with all different kinds of activities. She is barely in her room. They have family activities that we could go to and enjoy with her before COVID. Now, they face time with us twice a week. They started doing the face time before the state started. She seems happier than we have seen her in years. It's a great place and I can't say enough about the place and all the people that work there. The employees really love the people they are helping and they always say Hi when you come there. The employees take the time to care about each and every person there. This was the best decision we ever made for her.

I have stayed silent for far too long! My husband is a man that requires complex medical care and rehab and this facility is only in it for the money. Multiple previous employees have complained to me about the horrible treatment by administration and favouritism. I am sad that the landscape of healthcare is reduced to greed and money. I called the state on this facility only to have the state say the administer wouldn't take my sweet husband back as "they didn't have a good experience" translation they would not or could not take care of him. Also, they have no experience with home care although they purchased "All Care" and sent aides that could not provide personal care! I would not trust my loved one at Chesthem.

Best care ever. They treat your family members like their own.
