I recently had the unexpected need to visit the emergency room, and I must say, I was so pleasantly surprised by the experience. Despite my apprehension, the welcoming and friendly demeanor of the receptionist immediately put me at ease. The small, dedicated team at this ER made it possible for me to feel comfortable and well taken care of. I was seen promptly, and there was no sense of being rushed through the process. A huge thank you goes out to Laurie Herrera and Carrie- RN for their exceptional care and attention. It's clear that they are passionate about what they do and genuinely care for their patients. If you ever find yourself in an unfortunate situation requiring a visit to the emergency room, I highly recommend this place. They even provide heated, weighted blankets - a small touch that made a big difference. This team truly goes above and beyond, and I can't thank them enough for their wonderful care.

I've been here before, and saw Dr Lynch, which was great. She answered my questions and was very compassionate. Today on the other hand was the complete opposite. The front desk woman is very rude. Today I was seen by Dr. Tammy Kastre, who is very rude also. She asked why was I there and why did I decide to in come today? She made me feel as if I was a bother to have came in to be seen. She never came back to give me my diagnosis, she sent in the nurse to give me my diagnosis and gave me my discharge paperwork. It seems as if she dislikes her job or didn't want to be there.

Please read review: child abuse toward a 10 month old My daughter had fallen downstairs. We were both shaken due to this traumatic event. Upon taking her to the ER, the doctor looked at her and decided to order an x-ray. The x-ray tech was very aggressive toward my baby. She kept holding her head down, and she was very frustrated that it was taking too long. She tried to hold her head down aggressively twice. I told her to stop so I could calm my daughter. After I calmed her down, the x ray tech took out her frustration on my ten month old by using even more force to the point that my baby’s face was turning pink. I had to yell at her to stop and pull my daughter off the table because the tech was putting too much pressure on my baby’s head. I immediately left after this experience due to losing faith in the staff’s ability to care for my daughter. There was a nurse in the room with me who can corroborate this story. I don’t understand why someone would use so much force on a baby that just experienced a bad fall. She could have seriously hurt her. One could even consider it child abuse. Also, they made us walk to the X-ray room instead of using the bed to move us. I already contacted patient advocate and will be failing a report

My partner has had trouble breathing for 2 weeks and we had a horrible experience at the oro valley ER last week, so we chose to drive 30 minutes to this ER yesterday at 10:30pm since the reviews were so good. When we got there, we were walked to a room within 15 minutes of being there and the RN was so wonderful and explained everything she was doing and how long it would take. Dr Christopher was so understanding and listened to what my partner was feeling. He didn't suggest any more testing than what my partner needed, so no pointless billing. By the end of the visit (which was 3 hours), my partner was feeling better and was prescribed medication that is actually helpful. This is what American healthcare should look like and I'll never go to any other ER in Tucson.

I had to come here and RAVE about the absolutely most amazing care we got today. My autistic adult son came down with what turned out to be Appendicitis. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by Kristy we felt so at ease. She even offered my son a cute stuffed animal to help him feel safe. The nurse who took care of us, Kaleb, was AMAZING. He was so patient and gentle with my son. The Dr, Dr. Johnson was so kind and patient with him too. Even the radiologist who did his CT was wonderful. This whole staff completely made him feel safe and taken care of. Thank you, each of you for the amazing care you provided. Above and beyond anything I would have ever expected.

I had an awesome experience! My doctor referred me to an ER and I went to this one as it was close to my house. From being registered to discharge, it was smooth, efficient, and extremely quick. A special hello and thank you to Kaleb who was kind and funny, and Dr. Herrera who was through and kind, making sure I was comfortable and had all questions answered. Def go! Good group and they will take care of you!

Great experience! Dr. Herrera was amazing and my nurse was amazing. I was really sick and kind of scared but they made me feel so special and cared for. Thank you so much for your kindness and excellent care.

I came into this ED today 11/14/24 @ approx 3am. Such a horrible and dissapointing experience. I brought myself in after a week of just not feeling well with flu like symptoms that I believe started with a rash on my arm that had spread to my entire body including my mouth and tongue my tongue was tingly and numb my other symptoms were cough, runny nose fevers and chills I also started vomiting with traces of blood so I decided it was time to go get seen. I went to St. Raphaels emergency walked in and saw I was the only patient. There were two ladies in the front and a security guard on his phone with feet up. Once I was checked in I sat in the lobby to be called, the front desk lady ended up calling the triage nurse(Victor) on the phone to let him know That he has a patient. I was called back by Victor and sensed annoyance by him that I was there very cold and irritated demeanor. He showed me to my room after the awkward intake and before I even get to the bed he was leaving and said Im going to go start your chart now with a big sigh. I wasn't given a call light or anything to vomit in luckily they had them in the rooms by the door on the wall I got up and got my own bag which caused more nausea from movement. I layed on my side feeling like I was swaying on a boat I felt so dizzy and like I needed to vomit but couldn't I then hear a voice asking me "why are you here" I look up and over at my door to see a man standing at my door in the hallway I had no idea he was a doctor because he didn't introduce himself. I proceded to tell him why I was seeking medical care but spoke very low the first time from phlegm coming up and my tongue being swollen the Dr.(ZACKARY) Says I can't hear you, you need to speak up so I cleared my throat and tried again I started to tell him how I've been really sick for a week now with flu like symptoms that I suspected a rash I had developed weeks before was the culprit. The Doctor immediatlely cuts me off and snapped I am not a dermotologist what do you think I can do for you so I proceeded to explain why I felt I had a infection from the rash and again very dismissive tells me again I am not a dermotologist why are you here you need a dermatologist. That is when I had enough and stood up for myself I told him I just seen dermatology yesterday but now the rash Isn't just on my arm It's my whole body, face and tongue and Im getting worse that is why I brought myself in. I told the Doctor that this obviously isn't the place for me and I'm really uncomfortable now so I'm leaving to a different facility. That's when he sarcastically offered to do bloodwork. The doctor and nurse should have done an exam on me but neither one stayed or came in the room hate to tell you but you cant do a intake exam when you're in the hallway of the room. Another note before I brought myself in, my temperature I took at home was 100.1 when the nurse and tech took my temp it was about 97.7 or so. Those thermometers won't give an accurate reading when skin is clamy. They didn't care as long as it looks good on paper so they could go back to sleeping ( it was obvious) check cameras. When I left the facility the front desk lady said oh I'm going to bring the tablet to your room so you can finish paperwork. I told her not to bother as I am leaving to another facility that Dr is an asshole she said oh im sorry and that was the end of the visit. Yes, i left the hopsital vomiting. RUN FAR AWAY FROM ST. RAPHS! If you do need to go here please bring someone with you to advocate for you since its hard advocating for yourself when you are feeling that ill. Trust me if you have the same team I had you need to have someone with you. **for update see photos**
