TLDR: Do not go here. You have been warned. My experience with Chris Ota was extremely disappointing. Starting from the first appointment, he was very rough with my arm. Less than two weeks after my second shoulder, he pulled my arm overhead very quickly without warning, claiming we needed to “break up scar tissue”. This was insanely painful, and was completely against the PT protocol for my surgery. He also tried getting me doing active range of motion exercises (arm bike, banded rows) less than two weeks post-op. He did not follow the protocol for Bankart Labrum Repair. Seems like he was doing his own thing. He never asked for my medical records or details of my surgery. On the second appointment, while doing passive range of motion movement with a pulley, he just came over and jerked my shoulder upwards. This caused a ton of pain and inflammation. Chris was very rough with my shoulder and insisted that we needed to make sure I was "on track" and had to "break up scar tissue," which made no sense given my recovery stage. In my opinion, he lacks knowledge of proper shoulder surgery rehab protocols and he will destroy your shoulder after surgery.

Chris and his team are incredibly nice and professional. The front desk staff kept us aligned with schedules. The facility is kept cleaned and safe. My mother was please with the service and best of all, Chris! Highly recommend!

I can’t thank Siddhi Shah enough for the special care she and her staff provided me. I really appreciated that she patiently evaluated my problems, answered my questions and provided appropriate exercises for my right arm. Honestly, I never thought with PT the pain will go away, but under her care I found out I m wrong.

Update: I had to take a month off work for the injury their therapist caused me. They are not a certified hand therapist, and should not be treating hand or arm injuries. Another physical therapy facility I contacted told me that hand injuries are very specialized, and since they don’t have a certified hand therapist, they would refer me to one, which is what Campbell should have done. It is highly irresponsible to treat hand injuries without certification, and not make it known to clients the importance of seeing someone certified. — I had an injury on both wrists that never fully healed so I went here to work on them. The day after my session, my wrists were worse than they’ve ever been, even when I originally injured them, and they hurt even when I wasn’t doing anything. I couldn’t type and could barely hold a cup of coffee without excruciating pain. I ended up having to take a week off work, and I’m still not fully recovered, so I don’t know how long it’ll be until I can go back to work. I was working fine before, with some mild discomfort after long hours (I work on the computer). Now I have to see a specialist next week to determine if I need surgery. They required me to do exercises and stretches that seemed excessively strenuous, but when I expressed my concern, they just told me to do it to the point where it wouldn’t hurt. Even though I followed their directions, they clearly massively overdid it. I would urge them and you to be very cautious of what sort of stretches you do, so you don’t end up in my situation, with your pain and injury much worse than before.

All the staff has been great and very helpful. I especially apprecuated that they ask questions on how and what is going on with me and adjust what they are doing. I had never had PT before so wasn't sure what to expect. They are always timely and friendly. They have helped me a great deal with my medical issue.

Above and beyond 5 stars! I have been to 6 previous physical therapy offices in the past for my various injury recovery and post-surgery assistance needs. NO ONE I have gone to in the past has ever approached the process in the manner that Chris Ota has with me at Campbell Physical Therapy. Unlike other places, which only focus on the one area of "need", Chris looks at each patient's body as a connected whole unit. He has the ability to analyze each patient's body's strengths, weaknesses, associated imbalances, and identify painful areas (that sometimes you didn't even know you had!), in order to heal the "whole body". His "hands on" approach allows Chris to be able to tune in to each patient individually, instead of treating them robotically, like other PTs do, when they just follow some antiquated textbook's instructions. If one method is not working as quickly or effectively as he desires, Chris will change to another approach in his expansive arsenal of treatments. He understands that every body is unique and responds differently. Not only does Chris have a vast amount of knowledge, but most importantly, he REALLY LISTENS TO EACH PATIENT!! In addition, the office is staffed with caring and compassionate employees.

I have been through Campbell Physical Therapy twice in the past year or so, once for knee rehabilitation, and once for chronic back pain. Both times I worked with Francesca as my PT. She is incredible! Really listens to her patients needs and feedback on what is working and what isn't. She's very kind, supportive, and extremely knowledgeable about her work. The other staff are all very friendly as well. Would definitely recommend Francesca and Campbell PT to anyone who needs it!

After two shoulder surgeries, I have gotten to know the staff, facility and processes that make up Campbell Physical Therapy. The Master Therapist is Chris. He makes the place work. His knowledge and skill is second to none. He selects, trains and coaches the staff of therapists, aides and office workers. He knows his stuff and passes it on to others. They make it a comfortable atmosphere.
