Calls and emails are almost never returned. Maybe after 5 or 6 followups I'll be lucky to get in contact with the assigned counselor. Counselors change every few months too, either they quit or get promoted to a different position, so it feels very impersonal, like you're just a number in their system. getting a new counselor up to speed every few months is exhausting.

The Department of Rehabilitation has helped in a long way when I needed the help to be able to attend college; however, they (with some counselors) expect a efficiency of achieving the grade of A and B, if you get around a C or lower you might be put on probation whenever the terms of seasonal classes more than one occurrence. I mean I can’t really help it if the materials are hard to understand if I have received classes special education since junior high and high school classes with my learning disabilities.

The worst , they don’t care at all my son waited for months for services and nothing, only to deal with the worst coordinator Karen, Navarro she thinks she’s knows everything and the end is only what she said or wants . My son told her what he wanted from the services and she wouldn’t listen what my son has to say and the end blame everything on my son and let’s not talk about jay Nolan which she does services for them months of waiting and meeting nothing at the end . But when I mentioned I was going to report everything to the directors she told me she has emails to prove it , yes but after the fact i would call her to question her about the services and how incompetent they are and how they don’t care.

This is a State Department. They are vocational rehab for people with disabilities. Not a physical therapy clinic.
