I was admitted to Burke in February of 2021, after a stroke, after being hospitalized at Montefiore Hospital (Moses Campus). I am so very grateful for Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, and the care and service they provided me during my stay. The staff at Burke are amazing. Thank you for helping me to get better. Following I was enrolled in their therapy program in the Bronx location, near me (I was so grateful it was close to me) and there service was incredible. I could not talk, I did not know my daughters name, how to say spoon, fork, or even drive my car. Again, thank you for your extraordinary service. I am working again, driving, talking, and even reading books again. All the best to you all.

Burke Rehabilitation Hospital is one of the finest hospitals for people recovering from orthopedic snd neurological illnesses. They have a great team of doctors as well as physical and occupational therapists who truly love helping their patients recover from their ailments. About ten years ago I spent two weeks at Burke after having double knee replacement surgery and I have been forever grateful to their extraordinary staff. I also continued to go to Burke’s outpatient facilities until I was discharged and able to return to work and my active lifestyle! More recently I visited a patient who was getting the same exceptional care I received a decade ago!

Thank you so much for the exceptional care at the Physical Therapy outpatient services. Daniella (PT) is our hero!! Everyone goes above and beyond. This is truly an amazing place. We are so grateful for the care that my dad received. We appreciate all of you!

my mother has been hospitalized for over 3 weeks and was sent to Burke recently after improving. Since my mother has been at Burke she has had several issues. Nurses seem to overlook her and/or favor other patients over her, her cards were stolen from her purse and the food may have had cross contamination which caused more issues for her. I cannot believe that this is what has become of health care, it’s disgraceful at best!

I was very pleased with the care given to my love one. The doctors and nurses were super. The Ot, PT and speech therapists were excellent. My only concern was, I strongly urge client's families to do a site visit to any facility that is recommended by SW dept. I was horrified at the new facility that led to my family member being hospitalized due to the utter lack of any form of medical care. I worked diligently to have my loved one transferred elsewhere. Do your homework!!

Pros; -excellent team of physical therapist, occupational and speech therapist etc. Chris from PT is one of the best and worked with my family member diligently! Can tell they love what they do! -Beautiful location and surroundings! Cons: -Some of their rules of how they run unit needs to be revisited . Like showers only 2 days a week and you can’t bathe outside schedule. Gross - rehab suddenly changing visiting hours in the week and not notifying anyone . I drove so far to see my family member and did not get to see them -food provided not particularly my family members taste and no microwave to warm food on the unit for patients if you take food for them. They also said if they were towarm it , then it might be too hot and maybe liable. Like I have never heard this , honestly ever.

I was so hopeful when my family sent my grandfather to Burke, thinking he would get the best care to recover quickly. If you have a larger family and want to be able to see your loved one this is not the place. My grandfather has been here for 3 weeks. The staff is incredibly rude. Visiting policy only allows two people to visit at a time which makes it very difficult for larger families to visit for extended periods of time. This place feels more like a prison. The food is terrible. Overall, not happy with the experience. At a time where your family members need love, positivity, and support Burke does not provide that environment.
