First I would say the physical therapists seem caring and competent and reception staff were always pleasant and helpful at Burger PT. My 2 star rating relates perhaps overall shortage of employees or business model which resulted in ~50% of the appointments I attempted to attend being canceled. One of which I waited 20 mins at the office prior to them letting me know the physical therapist wouldn't be available. Their billing software also seems to be faulty as twice received bills for appointments I paid for at the time of service. I don't post reviews often and honestly hate to leave a negative one at that, but did on the off chance Burger will hire in some help for these folks!

Terribly run place. The therapist was ok, nothing to write home about. The managing staff, though, is terrible. Hadn't I called in advance of my appointment (which got magically cancelled somehow) I would've just gone there for nothing. Mind you this was after 2 weeks' wait because they were supposedly very busy. Reading the rest of the reviews here, everything makes sense. Stay away if you can.

Poorly run place. Unprofessional and incompetent. The therapist who I was working with, RM, was rude, condescending, confrontational, and incompetent. She would show me exercises, she would monitor my repetitions to make sure I was doing it right. The next session, she would correct me, contradicting the very instructions she provided on how to do the exercises. ?!?!? And she didn't do it nicely, she was pretty rude, aggressive. "This is not how I showed it to you." Uh, it's right there in the video, lady. I had to start filming her instructions to document it. You know something is terribly wrong if you have to hear this from a care provider: "I'm a good therapist. I put more hours into my work than I'm supposed to. I care about you." She, or they all, I'm assuming, don't provide sufficient information about the exercises they assign. You have to extract that from them. As other reviewers here reported, they give you a lame piece of paper with unclear descriptions, no pictures, some handwriting, which is supposed to add clarity but actually makes it more obscure. No pictures?!? That's why I had to film the therapist showing how to do the exercises. Now, they use an app, which works very well. But a lot of the exercises they assign are NOT in the app. What the...?!? And they refuse to provide clear information on the exercises that are not in the app. Again, you have to extract that from them. Then there was some major issue with scheduling. I arrived late for a 10 am session. They said I would have to reschedule for the same day, otherwise they would charge me, and I would miss my session. That is, I would pay but would not get treatment. Fine. I rescheduled for 1 pm. I arrived at 12:50 pm. 1 pm came and went. I waited. And waited. There were about 8 people behind the counter, a mix of clerks and therapists, all in party mode, laughing, joking, running around. After almost 15 min past my appointment time, I inquired about the delay. I was informed that the therapist who was supposed to see me (not RM), did not enter my session in her schedule. So, she did not know I was waiting. I gave up, since I had a time constraint. Subsequently, I contacted the manager, NH. He apologized and assured it would "never happen again." The following week, the same thing happened. I waited 10 min past my scheduled time. Again, my therapist, RM, wasn't aware I was waiting. Obviously, they are way more interested in collecting your money than providing quality care. I never went back. I highly suggest you avoid this place.

I have had a wonderful experience at this facility. I have a tech named Chandler and he is the best. He has helped me so much with my torn bicep and rotator cuff. I wasn't even able to comb my hair and now I'm playing golf. I think the world of him and recommend him highly. I've also had a tech named Jessica and she also is very good. Also the front desk is so kind a supportive. They took my insurance no problem. So I give this place 5 stars.

What Burger Rehab has to offer is slick corporate real estate, lots of fancy equipment, over priced services to pay for the fancy equipment, and someone who can give you a few moments of attention and a 5 cent sheet of paper with exercise suggestions. After hip surgery I went to an appointment, but made a mistake and came two hours early. I asked the receptionist if I could lay down on one of their multiple tables to wait as I was experiencing post surgical fatigue and felt sick. She told me I could only lay down a few minutes because "our patients" use those table. Not really caring or considerate. It was hard for me to get to the clinic. I can't drive and had to arrange a bus. The day was hot and all I really want was some caring or consideration from so called "healers". Two years before this incident, I cam to Burger Rehab with hip arthritis. A PT assessed my condition with an intern observing. He was so busy being full of charm, he didn't notice I had a hip problem until the second visit. He saw my hip behave strangely and said: "Oh, something is wrong with your hip." Yeah .... that's why I am hear. Not impressed.

My experience here has been nothing but positive. I go here for multiple issues. Beata, the Head Physical Therapist, gives you enough cheerleading with an honest approach of also taking control of your own actions, (doing your exercises at home!) to get healthy. I went to PT/OT in LA for almost 6 months. My care at Burger has been much more individualized and monitored. I feel Burger Physical Therapy and Beata are helping me get healthy again.

I completely agree with Meg, above. My doctor told me I absolutely had to get treatment for a back issue, and the Burger receptionist told me that my insurance would cover the charge, if there was one. I went in for about 15 minutes, almost half of which was signing forms. The other half was a therapist talking at me for eight minutes about stretching routines (I'm an athlete, and I probably knew more than her). I was told that my evaluation was complete and not to come back for additional treatment. Two months later, I was billed $150 for "two units of therapeutic treatment." I called to inquire about the "treatment" that Burger conflates with "evaluation", and was told 1) that the therapist I saw no longer works there, 2) that essentially my entire time--including form-signing--had been billed, and 3) that "education" is the same thing as "therapeutic treatment." If this was more money, I would consider getting a lawyer. But I'll settle for writing this review and bettering humanity by warning injured persons--especially students--to stay away from these fraudulent scam artists.

I saw a 1 star review and as someone who had to leave NYC because all my Physical Therapists I went to there were not giving me exercise s that worked. My mom was going here for knee stuff and they were able to look at my spine MRI and give me exercises that allowed me to recover when NYC people were telling me I would not recover... I am with Kaiser now and wish I could have Kaiser pay to let me get PT here as my Kaiser PT people are unreliable in quality and yeah, no lawyer is taking Medical Injury Claims due to the 1975 Reform Act for such claims that was passed and mever updated for inflation. I have had multiple lawyers tell me every lawyer in California stopped taking mal practice cases in 2014 so my PT people at Kaiser seem to just think telling me to always sit up straight will be sufficient and they feel protected. I have had Kaiser PT people tear up when I question their ability to practice PT because they know they aren't that good. Berger has better PT than Kaiser, I can assure people that. I'm happy to pay out of pocket here and they were great to my Mother. My mother was going here 5 days a week and everyone was super nice to her. It was something that made her day everyday and part of her daily life and she always felt welcome and never complained about the staff. She really liked everyone here and I am forever greatful for the care my mother recieved here for what may have been a decade.
