We stayed in their cabins. A bit expensive, but with a full kitchen, we were able to save a bunch by cooking our own meals. Having two bedrooms to stick our little kids in is also priceless. The cabin was clean, in good repair, and the kitchen was reasonably well appointed with utensils, etc. The hotel has a bunch of DVDs and board games to borrow. There is also a pool, which looked fun, but which we did not end up using because it is unheated and we were there on a chilly day in November. The best part about the hotel, of course, is that it is 30 seconds from the entrance to Sequoia National Park.

We loved this little gem! The staff was so sweet and accommodating... they even left us a birthday surprise in our room. The cabins were squeaky clean and comfortable. Located only 2 minutes from the entrance of Sequoia, the location was 10/10. The lodge was nestled in the valley with access to the river, which was beautiful and refreshing. Can't wait to visit again!

Very small but sufficient lodging just outside Sequoia Park entrance. It works. However, don’t expect to stay “connected” as there is no Internet except the lodge wifi and there are only a couple of plugs for your electronics. The bathroom is tiny so don’t bring a lot of stuff- but it is clean and the back door leads out to private Adirondack chairs overlooking the river. It is very peaceful so bring wine and some cheese from the market one mile back down the road. You can also walk next door to a great restaurant and get a 10 per cent discount for being a guest here. We recommend it for simple pleasure more interested in nature.

Sequoia forest cabin. 2 nights. I have mixed feelings about this place. If you want to stay here I wouldn't book the forest cabin, it has an upstairs cabin above it with no sound proofing. You can here other guest talking & stomping around above you. The maids cleaned the upstairs cabin while I was still sleeping early in the morning & were completely inconsiderate with how loud they were being. The cabins are on the opposite side of the road across from the lodge rooms. The lodge rooms have river views, the cabins do not. I had a street view from my window. I did like staying here & I do recommend it but it's not really what I was expecting. The cabins are all close together on a hill, i thought they were going to be a little more private & spread out. The parking area is pretty small to & my large truck barely fit in the driveway leading up to the parking area. The cabin was clean but I did find some mold under the bathtub soap holder. Loved the outdoor sitting area. Checking in & checking out was very easy & quick & everyone was friendly. The area & surroundings are nice & the best part is that it's a few mins from the Sequoia NP entrance. There is also a good restaurant that you can walk to.

Just came back from a family vacation, and our kids didn't want to leave :-( Location is AMAZING, rooms are clean and super cute, and the restaurant across the street, the Gateway was absolutely incredible. We had a great time checking out DVDs and saying "hi" to the staff in the office. The staff at the lodge are so incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming - they are the reason we'll definitely be back again. Also pick up one of the knitted stuffed animals for your kids - they're absolutely adorable and one of a kind! (They were on sale in the office)

Stayed here to visit Sequoia. Was located close to the entrance which was good. I wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were super clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable too. Nice pool area and river access. Friendly staff. Highly recommend! Would stay again.

This was a great place to stay as far as the location into Sequoia National Park. We were in a room not a cabin. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Back patio to the rocks and water are very nice. Down size is bathroom is small no shelving to put anything which when staying a couple of days would be nice. Not knowing the area and traveling from another state, this was a good choice to stay for visiting the park.

If you’re planning on visiting Sequoia National Park, you can’t find a better location. Buckeye Tree Lodge was the closest motel accommodation to the park. My family of six stayed in the Glacier cabin and it was perfect for us! It was close to the upper pool and the bedroom balcony had a wonderful view of the Sierras. The upstairs bathroom was a little dated but the downstairs shower was lovely. The best part of staying here was the communication we had before and during our trip with the employees. Lace, Aaron and Rose were so kind and friendly to talk to. They make the vibe of this lodge. We would definitely come back!
