Brookdale University Park Skilled Nursing

My mother's at brookdale for rehab. The rehab personnel is wonderful. But some of the people on the floor are terrible want keep her changed serving food while she's wet want bath her on the days she's suppose to be bathed I'm calling the state on this place left a message to the director of nursing no call back and the social worker is terrible this place is terrible I wouldn't seen my worst enemy there

I am beyond disappointed with this facility but had to give one star to post review. My mother moved into independent living in October only to be displaced when the facility had a sprinkler malfunction on Christmas Eve and ruined her apartment. Her belongings were moved to an off-site storage (without our knowledge) while her apartment was being repaired at which time she had a stroke and had to be moved to the hospital then rehab. At least three pieces of furniture have been lost and still no update on their whereabouts or even a single email/phonecall to acknowledge someone has received my messages. Today, mom has had another stroke and she was sent to the ER without anyone calling the next of kin to let us know where she was being taken. Obviously, the issues here apply to all levels of care from independent living to long term skilled care. Run from this place as fast as you can!!!!

We admitted our 95 year old grandmother to Brookdale SN and even though she has only been in her room for less than 12 hours we feel like we have made the right choice. She was admitted on a extremely short notice and Brookdale was very accommodating. All the nurses were extremally helpful and kind to us all. We truly believe we have found our grandmother her forever home!

Brookdale University Park is one of the kindest facilities I have been to. From the first person greeting you at the door to the staff directly caring for patients. This staff is doing it the right way. The building is modern and clean and the nursing staff is very knowledgeable. The therapy department is composed of an amazing group of people who you can tell have worked together for a long time. They know every patient personally and residents love this amazing group of women. I would recommend Brookdale to anyone searching for long or short term care.

I’ve been to Brookdale (or as I like to call it BUP) a few times, and the facility is a very clean, and the environment is simply beautiful. The employees are very accommodating and helpful to all the residents and visitors. I would recommend this place to anyone that has loved ones that need help taking care of themselves.

Don't even want to it one star. So thankful I was able to remove my mother from this facility within a month of her being there. She was left in a hallway alone and fell out of her wheel chair which damaged her arm to the point it was no longer useful. She was assaulted by a male custodian in her room( I had a bear camera installed after that) and was never properly attended to. The final straw was the male custodian in my mothers room in the middle of the night alone with her with his feet on the bed watching BET??? I had her removed that morning! This place is NOT where you want to take anyone you love!

I have been working here for 2 years and I was welcomed with open arms. After working in a hospital for years, it was a little different starting off but after getting used to everything I was fine. I would recommend working here because I feel like we work well as a team and it feels like we are all family.

This is a very clean facility. And I can't say enough about the staff that Ive had dealings with. They are top notch friendly professionals.
