Bowie Physical Therapy Associates

As a retired professional athlete, I've seen my fair share of physical therapists to help keep me in tip top performance shape. So, I like to think I have a pretty good idea of what to expect when I go for PT treatment. My previous experience with other PTs has been just fine, nothing crazy. But dear readers, let me tell you a story about the legendary Kevin McGovern. Some time ago I hurt my lower back raking leaves, and it was pretty bad too; I was bent over, could barely stand up straight, and was in chronic pain. I thought the pain was something I could sleep, heat, or ice away, but noooo, I required professional help. You know that pain you feel/felt or have heard others joke about that goes like, "Welp, I guess this is how it ends...." Yeah, it was bad. I eventually made an appointment with Kevin and literally hobbled over to Bowie Therapy Associates for treatment. And let me tell you.....I received THE BEST physical therapy care from Kevin. He is super knowledgable, super attentive, super professional, and super passionate about the work does! I felt so much better and got better fast after every appointment. If you need physical therapy and haven’t been to Bowie Physical Therapy Associates, then you are missing out on the GREATNESS that is Kevin McGovern.

I was referred to McGovern PT by my orthopedic doctor last summer for therapy sessions to relieve intense pain I was experiencing in my right knee. Kevin and his team were superb! Kevin is knowledgeable and explained the path we would take to alleviate the pain I was experiencing by strengthening other muscle groups that assist mobility while stabilizing the damaged knee and knee cap area. Kudos to McGovern PT - highly recommended!!

Kevin, Sue & team are amazing!!! I've sought PT treatment for my shoulder, back, hamstring, and knee throughout the years and they continue to do a phenomenal job getting me back in shape and doing the activities I love. I highly recommend them!!!

Ms. Jennifer is a pleasure to see each time I visited the center. She shares her thoughts on pain and pain management levels before I begin any workout routine. Jennifer and the other staff members I have met during my visits are very professional with the care I have received through my time in therapy. Jenn is a wonderful person hard worker and most importantly delicate very knowledgeable in her presentation which I received before my Physical Therapy session. It's a great place to start working on my ability to maintain my strength, stability, anxiety over rather I will be feeling better within one visit. Jenn has proven herself with her medical experience and the ability to dealing my problems helped me in my therapy. I have gone to Bowie Physical Therapy for years. Originally for a separated quadriceps tendon, twice for sciatica, once for compressed disc in my neck and one for treatment for a frozen shoulder surgery. I can not recommend them enough. It is a small operation that excels in personal attention and friendly relaxed atmosphere. I am sure you will be very satisfied with them.
