I'm a climber, road cyclist, dancer, hiker, yogini and a PT myself. It's most important to me to continue climbing, hiking, and getting outdoors, staying active as late in life as possible without reinjury. I was thrilled to find a PT in Christine who knew how to screen functional, full body movement patterns in order to help me return to sport (indeed I never had to fully stop!). She was able to skillfully assess the movements related to my sports and activities and design a strength and conditioning program for me that made a world of difference. I would send any indoor or outdoor athlete to Christine with complete confidence, and if I need PT in the future I know where to go! I am picky, as I am a PT myself and know exactly what I am looking for in a provider. Hands down Christine is one of the most skilled PTs I have ever met.

kevin is a PT master. I had knee surgery in both knees which had resulted in a lot of pain. I had gone to another physical therapist that put me through a generic program that left me in more pain. Kevin listened to what I needed. He cared how I was doing and helped me get motivated when I needed it. He helped my wife and another friend we are at different fitness but all agree Kevin changed our recovery and got us back to where we were before surgery. Take it from me, invest in yourself. Don't wait until you're walking into Kevin with a cane at 36 years old in a lot of pain. Start with Kevin and get back to your life like before you were injured.

I am a runner and was referred to Kevin when I was dealing with some recurring lower back/hamstring issues this summer. Kevin had me in the door within two days and was able to quickly diagnose and clearly explain the source of my problems. Contrary to previous PT experiences where I was only instructed to address the symptoms I was dealing with, Kevin took more of a system-wide view and made sure I actually understood the importance of the work we did on my posture, strength, and flexibility/mobility. Over the course of a few months I am feeling much stronger and no longer dealing with the issues that brought me in. I am now feeling very confident as I begin to ramp up training for a spring marathon and am well equipped with proper warm up and strength routines that I've previously neglected. Kevin is a pleasure to work with and is always super flexible and responsive. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I am a discus and shot-put thrower and have worked with Kevin both as a competitive high school athlete and in training for D1 college athletics. He is an absolutely terrific coach, PT, and overall person and he is unmatched in his professionalism, knowledge, experience, and kindness in everything he does. Kevin is involved, patient, and incredibly supportive as both a coach and a PT and my work with him has undoubtedly established many habits and skills that will continue to serve my long term wellness both in and out of the throws ring. After less than a month working with Kevin as my coach, not my PT, he had helped me fix and maintain excruciating shin splints which previously had only marginally improved with well over 6 months worth of dedicated PT. As a coach, he has improved every aspect of my performance as an athlete while also helping me train specifically for throwing. Kevin has gone above and beyond in preparing me for D1 college athletics and he has been fiercely supportive along the way. It can’t really be overstated just how good Kevin is at what he does and he is equally impressive in his character and kindness. I cannot recommend Kevin and his colleagues at Blue Door enough and I would absolutely encourage anyone interested to reach out. He really is the best of the best.

I came to Kevin with lower back pain when sitting for long periods and when trying to perform lower body weightlifting exercises. I had already been with another physical therapist for about 2 months prior with only limited success, still in pain. From the first few minutes during the initial consultation it was clear Kevin's approach was very different. He quickly have me a crash course in how the body is meant to move as a system, and explained how pain can appear when one or multiple parts are out of balance. Instead of focusing on the back as what may seem obvious, instead he looked at my general body movement patterns. We found my back pain was really a result of tight glutes and quads, and the improper motion resulting from this tightness. Kevin assigned me short daily exercise routines to work the tight spots and develop correct movement patterns. Unlike other PT's, they were more than just endless ab exercises to fix back pain! He writes his programs so that you are in control of fixing your own pain. He helped me find the exercises and stretches that helped the most, and now I use them whenever something starts to feel tight again. Using these tools, I have been pain free for nearly a year. I would highly recommend putting your trust in Blue Door PT. I learned a lot from Kevin during my visits about proper form for exercises, biomechanics, and creating general training routines. He is extremely passionate about what he does, and helping people pursue an active lifestyle. I will turn to Kevin again for my future PT needs.

I was referred to Kevin Kirsch for personal training and rehab by my colleague. Being a personal trainer myself, it can be hard to find physical therapists with the right background in exercise: who can offer rehab insight that exceeds that of your average personal trainer, AND programming geared toward those already conditioned to training. Kevin brings to the table that sort of experience and expertise. Over the past three months, we've been working on my ability to hip hinge/deadlift without getting my lower back to seize up for days afterward. Kevin offered a program that both challenged my current levels of conditioning while also challenging me to do foundational work that I would not have done (or know to do) on my own. I was also coming out of a half-year battle with shoulder pain during my upper body lifts, which is now virtually non-existent. I've been through the ringer seeking help from experts, specialists, therapists of various kinds focusing on body work, rehab, P.T., training, manual therapy, etc. and only a couple of them have been worthwhile for me. After several years of managing and trying to understand my lower back pain/disc pain, Kevin makes it onto the short-list of professionals whose interventions have been undeniably effective toward that end. If you're dealing with chronic pain, or feeling like you run into the same issues each time you try to build up a regular exercise practice, or are rehabbing from an injury and suspect that what you're doing is not enough, or that your current P.T. doesn't quite "get it", give Kevin a try. Especially if you're trying to transition back into regular training! Oh and I almost forgot to mention his character - very easy to talk to, will go out of his way to explain things to you, encourages lots of questions, and will work with you where ever you are. Thank you Kevin.

I connected with Kevin and Blue Door through instagram. Kevin reached out to me after I sent him a question following six months of stagnant progress for a back injury. As a college athlete, it was really important to me to work with someone with a unique dual perspective of both strength training and physical therapy which Kevin provided. His personalized approach and responsiveness was very helpful in me making great leaps and bounds forwarded in my recovery. He provided personalized video analysis on my biometrics and is always very responsive. I worked with him online and cannot recommend him enough.

I originally went to Blue Door PT on a recommendation from an orthopedic doctor when my other PT was not helping my hip tendinitis. I was on the verge of getting injections to help but Kevin helped me to do it naturally! I was so please with the PT experience that I also did a weight training program with him that really helped me prep for Triathlon season. Kevin really listens and deals with each patient as they should be, a unique case. I highly recommend Blue Door PT to anyone who is tired of the same run of the mill PT that provides cookie cutter programs to all their patients.
