Extremely knowledgeable and truly cares about the progress of the patient. I, personally, had an issue with scheduling. I said that I had an appointment on one specific day in the upcoming week with the surgeon who performed my knee replacement. I was scheduled for that morning anyway. When I brought it to his attention he said not to worry about it. Sitting in the Dr's office in Coral Gables the next week I received a call saying I had missed my appointment. When I called after the appointment on my way home I had to remind him that I had told him twice about my appointment. The inference that it was my oversight left a bad taste with me. If you need a very good PT Therapist, I doubt you can do better. If you're looking for any kind of idle chit-chat or casual conversation while you exercise, bring headphones with an audio book or music because you won't get it. If I could leave 4.5 stars I would have. But the reason you go to a PT Specialist is knowledge and care, and you will receive that from Big Pine Physical Therapy.

I approached Big Pine Physical Therapy with a serious L4 herniated disc. I was 35% disabled and could barely walk. My left quadriceps was seriously atrophied from little use over the previous 3 months. My orthopedic surgeon recommended aggressive core physical therapy. Both Dr. Roger Ryan, the owner, and Jack, his assistant worked with me over the course of 20 visits. These professional were very knowledgeable, accommodating, and fun to work with...and they delivered! Today was my last day, because I'm headed north for the summer. I graded out with only a 2% disability! In short, these guys gave me my life back. I can't thank them enough for there diligence and help. I highly recommend this firm should you find yourself in need of physical therapy.

I saw Dr. Evans for a couple months at the end of 2016. I was impressed with his education & training background. Having lived in Australia, I know that country and New Zealand are among the best in the world in promoting natural healing (non-surgical) through physical therapy. He has post-graduate training from both methods. However, the real proof is that my shoulder injury greatly improved, to the point where I knew it was time to leave. When I walked in the door the first time my shoulder, neck, upper arm hurt so much I was sure I would need surgery. I had an over-use injury from painting our bathroom and playing golf. Almost six months later, I have rare soreness and no pain. HOWEVER...it's important to continue his recommended home exercises! I play golf, do yard work, pull laundry out of the washing machine...no restrictions on activities. To stay young you have to keep moving! Thanks, Dr. Evans for all your help.

I have called these guys magicians, but there is nothing magic about what they do. They work from knowledge and experience; they are professional and incredibly supportive. Dr. Rodger Evan's philosophy is to make his clients functional, and they have clearly done that for me. I wheeled in there on a walker and three new pins in my hip and 8 weeks later I am walking without aids, easily managing steps and sand and gravel and long walks and boat rides. I highly recommend Rodger and Jack for your PT needs. Thanks Big Pine Physical Therapy.

Both my husband and I seen Dr. Rodger Evans for physical therapy. He and his lovely staff were very professional but with a warm and caring approach. We both had excellent results. I had a hip replacement and recovered very quickly. My seconds issue was an old knee is replacement that was very painful and Rodger worked on it and it is now pain free . Thanks so much yûe

Referral for cervical spine problems. Rodger and Jack are very competent, professional and friendly. Within a week I saw improvement in my range of motion and pain level. The exercises I learned and do at home continue to be a great help. Would recommend to anyone.

Good luck trying to make an appointment. Called today and they said right now they were booked 5 weeks out. I told them that’s why I was calling now so I could get on the books because I didn’t need to start for 5 weeks. I was told I would just have to call back a couple days before I wanted to get in and see if they had anything. I said that was why I was calling now and was told “I just don’t know if we will have anything. “ If you are booking 5 weeks out - you must know what is available in 5 weeks. Makes absolutely no sense to me. I was told I could go to Key West. I am a Big Pine Resident - why do I want to drive 30 miles three times a week when I am 3 miles from Big Pine Physical Therapy!
