If I could give 0 stars, I would. First time I scheduled with this psychiatrist, I asked the day of if it was possible to come in later but before I could ask the Dr was asking if I could come in earlier. I let her know I was going to ask about coming in later so I told her I can reschedule if she wants. She said thank you and had me scheduled a week and a half later. When the time came, I had an emergency with my dogs who got sick and had to take them to the vet so I rescheduled because I was worried I would be too late. Dr Sharmin said it was fine but to make sure I made it to my next appointment because she has other clients and can't reschedule again. Did she forget she's the one who wanted to reschedule my first appointment? So the day of my appointment she scheduled me for 5 pm. I get there right at 5, there's no one at reception. I see another client who was a little girl with her mom and sister. I was confused that there was no one at the front so I'm waiting there and decide to sit. 20 min after 5 pm, the Dr comes out to call in the other patient. I'm confused as she does not say anything to me, just looks at me. I figured okay she will probably call me in shortly. I knew she was the Dr bc I recognized her voice from over the phone. Another 30 minutes go by with no warning of her running late. I told myself I would leave by 6 pm if she didn't come out. Yep, 6 pm came by and still nothing so I left. Super unprofessional. I looked up her hours and online it says she closes at 5 pm. First of all, why are you scheduling me when you have another patient? Second, why are you having me wait way past my appointment time and don’t even bother informing me you’re running late? I'm not waiting way past my scheduled time for you to finish with another client if you're going to be messy with your scheduling. After that I didn't bother calling to ask or set another appointment. Way too unprofessional. Waste of my time. Time to find someone else to give my business to.

Comfort, trust & welcoming! What a wonderful place to feel accepted and valued. I truly believe the staff at Better Life Therapy is genuine about helping you in a time of need. Amanda, the administration assistant, was very helpful with both my insurance needs and personal questions regarding my first time experience. I definitely recommend the staff and therapists! Thanks Better Life!

I called to Make an appointment while driving home from work and even after confirming that they accept my insurance they would not schedule an appointment unless I gave them detailed membership information. Something I could'nt do while driving so I argued with the receptionist for way longer than necessary. She said that it was "policy". She then said that they can bypass this policy for me this one time. Then they wanted my email so that they could send a packet of paperwork for me to fill out. Im sorry but first of all I don't give out my email as much as I used too because I'm sick of junk mail. Secondly, I'd like to do fill out the paperwork when I get there. Thats what every other doctors office does. I have no problem arriving early to do the paperwork when I get there but that was against their policy and she wasn't allowed to book the appointment unless I gave her my email address. After arguing with her again she put me on hold only to return with "we can wave this policy just this one time" After going back and fourth she finally booked my appointment. One day before my visit she called to remind me of my upcoming appointment. "Thank you, have a great day" I replied. As went to hang up the phone I heard her say, We are going to need your Credit Card info for billing purposes. "Billing Purposes?" She went on to say that the office would need to have the card on file for out of pocket costs. I said "ill pay after my first appointment and then you can take my CC info for re-accuring appointment. I'm not giving you my CC if i haven't even been seen by a doctor". As far as I'm concerned I'm not even a patient until Ive been seen by your office. Then as she continued to talk I realized that the real reason was so that they can charge people a $250 cancelation fee if they don't show up to their first appointment. Once again she said it was policy but they could wave this policy for me this one time. As I hung up the phone she must have heard me talking to my wife because she called back to tell me that if I had something to say I should say it to her? She apparently heard me cursing to my wife as I hung up the phone so she said that using that kind of language with employees was grounds for cancellation. She canceled my appointment. Im sorry but whats happened to good old fashioned customer service where doctors offices and employees care more about the person and their needs rather then their money. They obviously put more emphasis on their policies then customer satisfaction. As a patient, thats a red flag to run in the other direction. If I were you I would save yourself the hassle and do the same. We live in a world where people are more disconnected then ever before. The last thing I want from a mental health facility is a front office with a terrible bedside manner.
